This camera only records in short bursts so even though there is movement, it will only record about 10 seconds and then shut off. If you have a crime happening and it happens after the first 10 seconds of being detected then it will not record it. Also, there were a lot of times there were recordings but I could not play them or see them. I am not sure why so I contacted Kodak but never got a response. The night feature does not work either. I set it to auto between night and day and it is always on night and records in black and white. I have to leave it on the regular setting so it will record in color but then it will not record at night since it is dark. To get alerts on your phone for people movement you have to pay an extra monthly fee. I would keep looking for something else and not recommend this camera.

i now have the wifi extender turns on and it works perfectly! Originally I forgot to sign on to the wifi extender so of course it didn’t work! Purely operator. So sorry if I misled anyone.

Fast shipment, great quality pictures/videos. We love the 360° rotation feature of this camera, so we can watch anywhere with no hidden area( tracking our cat when we were not at home). Fell much safe with isecurityplus’s motion detective feature, we can receive any notifications when there is any movement activities.

Really great camera. It takes a 360 degrees picture.

Excellent quality camera with plug-and-play setup ease. This thing is exactly what I needed in a home security camera. First thing’s first – it’s a camera, and the video quality is very good. It has automatic night vision and a motion activated automatic recording setting, so this thing is ready to handle just about anything you can throw at it in terms of use cases. The interactivity might be the coolest feature, however. You can easily access and control the camera through an app – allowing you to tilt and/or pan the camera and even broadcast audio – your voice – back to the camera if needed.

It’s sleek and good enough looking to be inside the house, captures very high quality audio and video, and setup was extraordinarily easy. I am thoroughly pleased with this camera.

Have been using the camera for a month. Was impressed by its good design when buying. The HD video is sharp and clear. Love the free 24 hour cloud storage service, so I can save the motion captured clips that I like. It is a good buy for me.

I love this security monitor. You can monitor, listen and record what is going on in your home. Another cool feature is that you can talk through this monitor. There are many pros to this monitor, you can watch your children, animals or monitor your entrances.
You can thwart a robbery before anyone enters your home, which I think is the best feature. By having this feature of speaking through the monitor, you could tell the intruder that you are calling the police and that they are being recorded. I am recommending this monitor to all my friends.

I received and setup my V15 yesterday! PERFECT!! Setup was easy. With the app on my iPhone, I was able to view with a crystal clear picture over both WIFI and Cell Data. The pan and tilt is an incredible feature for me as it allows me to see the entire back yard and the pool. The ability to zoom in and out without losing detail and quality too. This camera is a huge improvement over the previous V10, which I am still using for the front of the house. Microphone and Sound capabilities, WOW!!!

our ailing grandmother has been struggling with psychological problems after grandfather passed. she then claimed abuse by her caretakers who were hired in good faith. there is no physical evidence and as such, it is difficult to verify her claims. they have been faithfully helping for some time, so to terminate their employments on her claim could be unjust in light of her psychological struggles. competent care takers that speak her native language are difficult to find, so this is not a cavalier decision to be made. we did ultimately decide to honor her decision to change caretakers with respect to her discomfort of her caretakers. we have purchased 4 cameras for observation in living spaces excluding bathrooms and bedrooms. this is especially important because both outcomes will require attention. if her claims were in fact fabricated, we may need to seek a mental health specialist. in the event of a worst case scenario, we can and will notify law enforcement immediately and are prepared to pursue this legally. we sincerely wanted to avoid this kind of situation. when it comes to family, you should ensure their wellbeing, not guess.

Setting up this camera was very easy using my iPhone – you install the iSecurity+ app, plug in the camera and join the camera’s WiFi network to set it up and connect it to your home WiFi. It only took me a few minutes and I was able to start using the camera right away.

It feels really sturdy, it’s a simple looking camera but it’s attractive looking and clean. The image quality is great and it streams great remotely – I checked on my home while I was at work and surprised the fur off my cat when I used the push to talk audio to talk to my cat. It’s a two way speaker/microphone so you can hear what is going on and say something – beyond security this could be helpful for parents to check on your children and be able to talk to them. The infrared lets the camera work in the dark very well, in the average apartment sized room I was able to see everything very clearly – I was surprised at how well that worked. I’m planning on mounting this in my son’s room so I can keep an eye on him, he’s old enough not to need a baby monitor but I could see this being awesome for the next year or two.

The app lets you control the camera, rotating the view or tilting it up and down, you can also zoom in, and control the audio – all these work intuitively and I didn’t need to read through any documentation to make sense of the controls. It comes with free 1 day at a time cloud storage with motion sensing recording video clips – so this makes it a simple, cheap home or small business security system. You can pay a fee for it to store more than 1 day’s worth of clips at a time, but it’s not something I need personally.

I’m very happy with this, it’s a great value for the price.

The camera works great and was easy to set up right out of the box. I currently have it installed outside under a covered patio and the picture quality is excellent. The sound works well when both listening and speaking. I love that the camera records and sends a notification to my phone whenever it senses it movement. The only issue that I have experienced is with the app being buggy on my iPad. The app is not built for the iPad and sometimes freezes, it works great on my iPhone though.

    Pros:
    Picture quality
    Sounds quality
    Motorized tilt and pan
    Motion notifications
    Easy installation

    Cons:
    App buggy on iPad

    UPDATE:
After using the camera for a month or two and adding an additional camera in the house I have had to change my review. The current condition of the app has caused me to lower the rating to 3 stars. I am constantly having to shut the app down and restart it. Numerous times a day the app will not playback video, and I am unable to switch back and forth between cameras without having to restart the app.

Overall, I would say that the camera is still a good quality camera, but the app needs a lot of work.

Pros: High-quality color video, Can rotate and zoom in video with your phone, Has a microphone for two-way communication, Includes mounting equipment, Can capture video/pictures from your phone.

Cons: Unsure how secure the camera is from hacking (wish it was addressed in the manual), Does not have an option to run on batteries, Not water proof

This camera makes me feel like I live in the future. The setup is fast – you just download the companion app and log the camera into your home wi-fi network. Once registered, the camera will ask you to complete a firm ware update. After the update, the video was in color! I was impressed with the video quality and the ability to talk into my phone and be broadcast from the camera. In addition to home security, it will also be fun to talk to my dog while I’m on vacation and calm his separation anxiety.

Great camera and very easy to get up and running right out of the box. After you download the app you are up and running. The first time I used I happen to be going on vacation and setup in my living room so that I could watch my cat. The best part was that once I launched the app and moved the camera lens, she heard the camera move and would come right up to it to kiss the lens. The camera has night vision as well which suprised me, but what a great bonus.
I downloaded the app on my android phone and it worked seemlessly. There is a two second lag on the camera, but not a big deal. Having a free streaming video camera that I don’t have to pay a monthly fee for is a huge plus.

This camera allows me to keep an eye on my house while I’m away. It was a great choice. The setup was very easy. I set it up and had it running in 10 minutes. The isecurity app allows me to check in on my house whenever I want and notifies of any movement sensed. I love that I can move the camera around from my phone and the two way talk option. The night vision is great and gives a very clear picture. I would definitely recommend this camera.

This product was provided for the sole purpose of writing this review, which is my honest assessment of the product.

If I could give this product 4.5 stars, I would! First off, this camera is has a good quality build and pretty easy to setup (using the instructions). The camera operates using an app from your phone, which allows access to a live feed (and up to the last 24 hours of recording) anytime you want. The recordings can be downloaded to your phone or computer as well. Overall, I think this product is awesome. The picture quality is GREAT, it has night vision (with a really good picture quality too – it is in black and white). The BEST part of this product is that you can use the app to communicate with visitors (or intruders) as necessary. Yes, you can speak into the microphone in the app and it will project through the speakers on the product. NICE! Of course the product has a microphone where audio is recorded, along with video.

The only reason why I would not rate as 5 stars is the functionality of the app. Although you can move the camera vertically and horizontally using the app, it is sometimes unresponsive or slow to move. Trying to make it move too much can be a bit annoying and/or unsuccessful. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this for a corner in the home or a place where the camera can be stationary.

I purchased 3 CHF-V15’s about 4 weeks ago for the purpose of being able to monitor our home while I’m away at work. While I know to some this may seem intrusive, my wife is an at home woman thats become quite disabled due to some severe medical issues and I wasn’t feeling comfortable going to work on a daily bases without the ability to “check in” on her from time to time to make sure she was OK. the purchase of this product has put that feeling to ease!
I must say that other than the difficulty I encountered trying to find the correct App to run the equipment, I have been quite pleased and actually very impressed with the equipment. The quality of the images during the day and even in the darkest of night have made me feel quite happy with the decision to buy this product and I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to anyone looking to obtain a video security system for thier home. So far, it has proven to be a Godsend for me and my needs!

Got this for my mother so she able to watch her dog outside while she’s inside. The video monitor works perfectly, the camera records is high quality, the camera works off of our wi-fi, so there was no need for cables, the camera also have a 360 rotation feature , so we can see where the dog is at all times. The app works great on my android, it’s real easy to use and navigate. The feature I like the most is the night vision, no longer I have to use a flash light to see what’s outside.

Upon opening package, there is literally the camera with wall mount, drywall mounting screws, and a power adapter. Very simple. The power adapter was very long for various installation, and the included mounting bracket is similar to a ceiling smoke detector with the mount and twist. The camera is black and sleek, looks nice with my black glass tv stand. Plugged it in to the outlet, which has a bottom plug on side, which creates a secure plugin, wont come out lose, but still allows for that flush mount or flush on table. Downloaded the isecurity+ app. You then connect your phone to the wifi single on the camera. My phone kept losing the camera signal and going back to the wifi, but after 3-4 attempts, it stayed connected to the camera and the app found the camera to install. Go through the easy prompts in the app, create a user login, choose connect to internet, add your internet wifi passcode. At that point it was pretty much complete. I did just receive this last week but it still had a firmware update available which i processed. The app opens quickly, the camera pops up promptly. As always, install any wifi device closer to the router first, and then move it elsewhere if needed. The camera has like a preset left or right, up or down, it is not like a slow move, it moves like 20 degrees each tilt approx. Not a problem but if u wanted to choose a specific thing to view or take picture of, it would be an issue. I have another wifi camera that slowly adjusts as you move it left or right for more control. The voice control seems crisp and quality. The picture quality seemed great during the day. I took a picture, and it went right into my photoroll on my iphone for easy use/forwarding/posting. Overall, this camera was very easy to setup, the included mount is excellent for versatility, and it takes good clean, crisp pictures with easy access.

We’ve been using our V15 for a few days and have been very pleased overall with the form and function of the camera. Installation of the Android app was simple and the configuration was virtually automatic; the only technical knowledge needed was the ability for the user to connect to Wi-Fi and enter Wi-Fi network keys/passwords. Setup was very easy and we were able to run the app on multiple phones, though only one can be signed in at a time… launching the app from one phone while another is viewing will disconnect the original viewer.

The device itself is sleek and feels well-made. The base is weighty, likely for stability, but also makes the unit feel substantial and unlikely to be knocked over. I have not yet mounted it to a wall or ceiling but it’s not so heavy as to present an issue there.

The operation of the motorized pan/tilt is smooth and fairly quiet. When controlling the camera the motorized sound of the camera panning around seems to get the attention of animals within ~10 feet but people in that radius didn’t appear to notice.

The picture quality is quite good and the framerate is decent, though there’s naturally a bit of delay/lag time between what’s taking place real time versus what you see on the screen. The up to 8x digital zoom is functional but detail drops off considerably, though it’s still useful. Panning around with the app is done through swipe gestures on the screen: swipe left to pan the image to the right, swipe down to tilt up, etc. Might sound a bit counter-intuitive, but if you think of it as scrolling around a big photo on your phone then the operation makes sense. I do wish there was a way to make fine adjustments to the position/view through the app – the swipe will rotate the lens a few degrees but that translates to more than a few feet of field-of-view shift… good for looking around quickly but not great if you want to center the view on something or track something moving, such as a cat.

Sound quality is also good – I could make out the spoken dialogue in a TV show playing in the background and hear a conversation at normal volume between people in an otherwise quiet room. On the app you can also enable the camera’s built-in speaker and communicate with someone in the room.

The low-light mode is pretty cool and does a good job of illuminating a dark room with near-infrared light – invisible to a person (outside of a ring of glowing red LEDs around the lens) but lights up the scene on your phone with a fairly detailed nightvision resolution.

All in all, a great value for the price and the free one-day cloud storage is a nice bonus, though I have not used it yet. Would definitely recommend this camera to anyone needing to remotely check in on your home and loved ones while away.

Update: It’s been a few months since reviewing this camera and with a few firmware updates I’m finding this camera to be pretty reliable. The free/24-hour Cloud storage isn’t limited so motion and human detection still work, as well as mobile notifications. I haven’t had any luck with the Range Extender feature so I’ve left it off. This is definitely a quality camera although I still wish Kodak/iSecurity would allow us to connect to the camera through LAN.

I’ve been using this surveillance camera for the past week and thought I’d give my two cents on it.

    Unboxing & Setup: 4/5
The CFH-V15 comes with the camera, quick installation guide, AC adapter, mounting bracket and screws. There’s nothing fancy with the boxing and it’s as straight-forward as you get.
Setting up the camera was a bit tricky, but overall manageable. When you power on the camera, it goes through a quick diagnostics check and starts broadcasting it’s own Wi-Fi network. This is how you initially set up the camera. With your phone or tablet, you have to connect to the CFH-V15 and all the configurations are done through the iSecurity application (available on both iOS and Android). Be sure to download the application FIRST, because connecting to the CFH-V15 will limit your data connection useless (your phone will think it’s connected to a network, but the CFH-V15 doesn’t have Internet connectivity yet and chances are your phone won’t switch to a cellular data connection while Wi-Fi is active and connected). Once you’ve connected to the camera and launch the app, it will ask if you want to setup the connected camera to your account (in which you’ll make one through iSecurity+). The first time I ran through the setup via the Android app, I was never prompted to set up the camera. I had to restart the application before getting the setup prompt. After registering the camera to your account, you’re ready to go!

    Features: 4/5
The CFH-V15 comes with a surprisingly decent amount of features. There’s an automatic night vision mode, electronic tilt and zoom, Wi-Fi repeater capability, and built in microphone along with the 720p camera. These are just the camera’s features– the software also adds Cloud capability so the recorded video clips can be seen from anywhere. You also get the ability to share your camera feed with friends and a 30 day trial of motion sensing– more on that coming up. All in all, I am impressed with the amount of features from the CFH-V15.

Because they advertise this camera as having “Bank-level security”, Kodak has disabled the ability to use this as a standalone IP camera. This is a huge drawback for those who have home automation in place– you can’t simply type in the camera’s IP address on a browser. You HAVE to log in to the iSecurity+ application or website to access your feeds (via Flowplayer Flash).

    Software/Application: 4/5
iSecurity+ is the name of the software used to manage the CFH-V15. It’s pretty straightforward to use. For the mobile application, there are four tabs: Mine (Camera), Friends, Events, and Settings.
Mine: Shows all the registered cameras under your account. This is where you would go to see the live feeds or change your camera settings– you can also update the camera’s firmware from here.
Friends: If your friends grant you viewing access to their camera, it will appear here.
Events: This is where you access video clips stored in the Cloud. These clips are recorded when motion is detected. It takes roughly 30 seconds to a minute for a video clip to be accessible after getting the notification. This highly depends on your Internet provider’s upload speed, as well as your mobile carrier’s download (assuming you are viewing from your mobile device).
Settings: This is where you change app settings, such as notification and sound effects. Any changes to the camera will be done on the ‘Mine’ tab.

You can manually adjust the camera’s resolution (320×180, 640×360 or 1280×720), frames per second (up to 25), camera rotation and night vision. The stronger your Wi-Fi connection, the better the quality. For those who are unsure what to choose, there’s an auto-adjust mode that will configure itself based on the Wi-Fi quality between the router and the camera.

I wish the application were more polished. It feels like it’s a beta software because the resolution isn’t up to par with today’s phones. But honestly, it does the job even though it’s not the prettiest. It takes about 6 seconds to get from my home screen to viewing my camera, which is not bad at all!
25% of time, the application doesn’t think I’m subscribed to the free trial and tells me to log onto the website and register. I have to re-open the application for it to re-establish my credentials which is pretty annoying. I don’t know how often iSecurity+ rolls out updates, but this is a pretty major bug that hopefully gets fixed.

    Quality: 4/5
Camera quality is decent. I have mine pointed out the front window, so the trees 30-40 feet away aren’t going to be crystal-clear. Closeups of people and other objects are clear, and the facial recognition software can notify you when a person is seen in focus.
Night vision is very good. When it gets dark enough and you have night vision set to auto, the infrared lights kick in and switch your feed to B&W night vision. The quality is actually really good. Coming from budget cameras, I thought this would be a gimmick but it is actually quite usable.
Microphone quality is actually pretty good. It picks up noises from outside the window. I haven’t used the microphone too much so I can’t comment on much else about it.

    Notifications/Motion Sensing: 3.5/5
You can manually adjust the sensitivity on the motion capturing aspect of this camera, but you’ll soon realize no matter what sensitivity you have it on, be prepared to be bombarded with notifications. I could be leaving the front door and walking to my car, and trigger 4 alerts easily. Some days it’ll only trigger one, some days it’ll trigger half a dozen. It’s very sporadic and it may have to do with the camera’s settings. That being said, when the notifications work, they are great. I get notifications when an object or person appears on the camera. Any time a notification is sent, the camera records a clip and uploads it to the Events tab for you to review. Thankfully you can filter through the notifications (Show me People only, Objects only, or show me Everything). If you choose to show everything, be prepared to have your notifications go off endlessly.

I knocked this one down 1.5 stars because the software needs the ability to set times for notifications. I don’t really care about getting notifications in certain parts of the day, so it’d be great to be able to set something similar to a Do-Not-Disturb mode for certain times of the day.

    Overall Thoughts
At well over a hundred dollars, this isn’t the cheapest surveillance camera you can get and there are a few shortcomings, but they are mostly software-based. I truly believe enhancements can be made to make this a solid camera inside and out. There’s not much needed to do on the hardware front; everything is great quality. Software needs some fine tuning, however.I wish they gave us the ability to re-enable using the camera as a standalone IP camera. That way I could tie in my home automation system with it.

I would recommend this camera to people who aren’t looking for a full-fledged surveillance system– people who just need one or two cameras and the ability to monitor their cameras from afar. Setup takes less than 10 minutes and the user interface is fairly intuitive.

I plan to update this review after a month (after my trial period is over) to see what kind of functionality is lost between the 24-hour and 30-day cloud service, besides the obvious.

Item came very fast. Absolutely love this camera. Setup is a breeze as I was up and going within 5 minutes. The camera gives you a full 350 degree view controllable remotely from your iPhone. The app allows you to take snap shots, record videos, listen to whats going on and even communicate back home. The camera includes free 24 hour cloud storage for piece of mind. Picture quality is AMAZING. I was surprised how great the night vision looks. The app could use some updates from a looks standpoint but works great. Looking forward to checking in on my animals throughout the day. Nice job Kodak!

I live in a southern state, one of which has a very high crime rate overall compared to the nation. I hear horror stories about the police being overwhelmed and not responding in time to calls, and I really bought this camera for peace of mind. Hopefully the sight of the camera will deter thieves from breaking into my place or my vehicle. I ended up installing this camera on the inside of my place behind the window, which makes it a little difficult to see at night but I have a garage light that turns on which helps.

To anyone who is buying an IP camera, you must understand that it works off your router and your connection. I only have a 1up/1down speed from my provider and one camera can use quite a bit. The best upload speed from my ISP is almost 150 a month…so realize that if you are using more than one camera you will have to lower the quality or upgrade your account. I also have another outdoor version of an IP cam set up outside in a different location, so anyone wanting an outside view might want to invest in one of these.

I wasn’t by an means an “IT expert” so I was definitely a little concerned I wouldn’t be able to get it to work. I had a little bit of other trouble with other cameras before. However, everything was a breeze to setup. It installed quickly without problems. The software installed quickly on my tablet and setting up the camera was simple. The cool feature of being able to watch my house in my office or anywhere else is very nice!

The quality of the images it produces was good, and low light performance was excellent. The image was a very bright and clear black and white full resolution image with dim street lights from my place.

In daylight the video quality is good enough. Not as good as my iphone video in terms of resolution, of course, but still sharp. The angle of view is plenty. I was able to make out faces as well as car details, reading license plates was difficult but not impossible from a distance.

Quick installation guide that came with the camera was not that detailed but very simple to get through. Helped me through any parts of the installation I needed assistance with. The camera overall felt well built and rotated smoothly.

Overall very pleased, I will post pictures when I get a chance to show the quality of the camera.

This camera is awesome and super easy to use. I am using this camera to watch my property which I own in another state! Connecting and controlling this camera remotely is such a breeze! Set up was easy too! I simply followed instructions from the video and wham! In less than 5 minutes I was up and running. The overall design of it is pretty nice considering past cameras I’ve used. Video quality can be adjusted depending on which setting a user wants. Overall this camera is a great value and works amazing and best of all anybody with no experience can use it!!!!!

I purchased this camera to keep track of my dog when I’m not home. He has separation anxiety when my wife and I are not home.

Setup was easy enough. Just downloaded the iSecurity application, then turn on the camera. The app will prompt you to set it up.

The camera feels well-constructed and does not feel or look cheap. There are a lot of features included. I especially like the ability to pan and tilt. Zoom works well enough, although it has the expected degradation in quality. Surprisingly, the night vision feature works well, too. I expected that to be sort of gimmicky.

The image quality impressed me. I expected a grainier image, but the video streams clear onto my phone. I also like the ability to communicate by sound through the camera. I think my dog’s slightly confused, though.

Overall, I’m very happy with the camera, and it’s been helpful for me to monitor and keep my dog calm when we’re out of the house.

The Kodak CFH-V15 is a great security camera, its best features are its talkback, pan, tilt and zoom. These controls make it a major upgrade over older models. We have used ours to monitor the house when we are out of town. The companion application (isecurity+) runs on iOS and android.

    Setup
The setup was very easy. You download the app to your phone (or table), connect to the device via wifi, then adjust the settings. This took me about fifteen minutes.

    Appearance
This is the only negative about the camera, it looks like Darth Vader. This will definitely stand out and let people know it’s there. I would prefer something that is more discrete.

    Functionality
The pan, tilt, and zoom settings are a little slow, but work great. There is a half second delay on the talkback.

    Video Quality
The videos look great. The Auto Night Vision Mode looks very clear.

    Final Thoughts
    I highly recommend this camera!

We’ve been using the Kodak CFH-V15 for a few weeks now and here’s some of my thoughts. We have actually been using it as a baby monitor and I think it’s significantly better than all baby monitors on the market and cheaper than most.

    PROS:
    – Darth Vader helmet appearance is a plus!
    – 350 degree pan/105 degree tilt allows coverage of the entire room regardless of where you decide to put it
    – Allows you to connect to it via through your smartphone or any PC
    – Video seems clear and haven’t experienced any lag

    CONS:
    – The app for accessing the camera is not great – it definitely has some stability issues

Overall, would definitely recommend for the price – definitely look at using this as a baby monitor – the pan/tilt/zoom is significantly better than any other dedicated baby monitors on the market.

Great Camera! free 1 day cloud storage! good image quality and easy setup! bye bye Dropcam and FOSCAM, finally found one that meets all my needs. Software needs a little improvement though.

This is the 3rd camera I added to monitor our house after a FOSCAM and a Dropcam. The setup is even easier than Dropcam. Took less than 4 minutes from start to finish using an android phone. The picture quality is very good. best among the three 720p cameras I I have and pan and tilt functions are great. The biggest plus for me is 1 day free cloud storage for the life of the device and that alone earns this camera a five star rating from me compared to the dropcam. This is perfect as a security camera or to watch your kids or pets when you are away. I only tested the speaker briefly and it worked but the microphone is good. I am storing several events as video of my kids when they do something funny in the house and the camera catches it.

Now some suggestions to improve the software:
1- Add PC or browser support. Right now it only works with IOS and Andriana tablets and phones which is good enough but being able to watch the camera through a browser as well helps.
2- Add email notifications. Right now it only notify you through your phone with the app but adding the option for email notifications help when you are in front of your PC in work place.
3-Add an option to turn the camera off. Right now you can only turn off the notifications but the camera keeps uploading to the cloud unless you unplug it. having an option to turn camera on/off through software helps if you want to save your upload bandwidth and turn it off when you don’t need it.

overall very happy with this camera. It replaced my FOSCAM and I will be getting another one to replace the Dropcam.

This product comes with the monitor itself, power cord and a small instruction booklet. It was very simple to setup, and it was ready for use after 5 minutes.
This video monitor works great on both Apple and Android devices and the pan / zoom feature is incredible! I am able to see most of my yard and detect wild animals at night.

I really like this webcam – it’s an excellent way for me to keep an eye on my home when I’m away. The camera itself looks very cool and attractive. The setup to get it up and running on my wireless network was a breeze – the instructions walk you through how to setup everything. The picture quality on my phone is very clear – you would definitely be able to make out a face of an intruder if needed. All in all, I really like this purchase and would recommend it to others who are looking for a good quality security camera.

I’ve recently purchased the Kodak CFH-V15 camera. My previous experience with a web enabled camera came by way of the Foscam FI8910W, so I’ll be making some comparisons – though they are very different cameras. The Foscam resolution caps out at 640*480. The Kodak can capture at 1280*720, so it will naturally have a picture quality. I typically use my cameras to check on my pets or monitor the front door.

    Pros:
    • Very easy setup
    • Push notification alerts for motion triggers
    • Very durable construction and solid feel.
    • Sleek aesthetic design

    Cons:
    • No ability to stream video to a 3rd party software such as Blue Iris, Tinycam, etc.
    • No Ethernet port
    • Slightly “soft” image picture

    Setup

5/5 Stars – Setup was a breeze. Very easy once you read the directions. I assumed that setup would be similar to the Foscam but I was mistaken, so that was my only hiccup. You can literally get up and running within a minute.

Caveat: You will need to register for a free isecurity+ account, but it’s a quick and seamless process.

    Accessing the camera feed

3.5/5 Stars – All access to your video stream is done either via the web on http://www.isecurityplus.com or via the isecurity+ mobile app. I downloaded the iphone version. The app itself works well and is very stable. I have had no problems with push notification which you can opt in to for motion alerts. Included with the camera is lifetime free 1 day cloud storage for your motion triggers. You cannot use a 3rd party software such as Tinycam, which would have been useful if you owned a variety of web enabled cams and wanted to manage via one interface.

    Image quality

4/5 Stars – Image quality is very good, but it loses a star for some softness. It performed very well under both day and night time conditions. The attached screengrabs are actual samples from the same point of view on my window sill.

    Audio quality

5/5 Stars – Typically on a small device, such as this one, you expect the mic and speaker to be of very basic quality. However in testing I find the quality to be remarkable. When I used to attempt these features with the Foscam, there would be tons of noise and the on board speaker was barely audible. Not so with the Kodak.

    Overall

4/5 Stars – Overall I would rate this camera as very good. For many, this camera may even represent a 5 star rating, but for me, I had to deduct 1 star for forcing you to be locked in to the isecurity+ ecosystem and for the slightly soft image. I currently use Blue Iris ipcam software to manage my other cameras, so it was a real bummer when their support team let me know it was not possible to do so. On the plus side, their support team answered my question within 5 hours of my email, and required no additional interaction or back and forth.

This video monitoring device is highly recommended and a delight to use.

The device uses the iSecurity+ app (available on Android and iOS; for the purpose of this review, I was using an iOS device). The app is okay at most. Sometimes it takes a while to get past the logo screen when starting the app, and sometimes it starts within seconds. I figure that it was logging in to my account, so perhaps that was a reason, but the timings weren’t very consistent. The great thing about this device is that you don’t need to connect it to the internet with an ethernet wire, it connects to wifi. You need the app to connect to wifi, but the process is pretty easy (plug in device to AC outlet, wait 30 or so seconds, open up app, it will recognize the device and then ask you to connect it to the internet, register for an account, etc.).

Once it’s all connected, you can select your device and start viewing things. The image quality is great, very crisp and HD. There was a slight 2 second lag I noticed from real time, but the audio was very clear (yep, you can hear what’s going on in your house as well — but you have to turn that on via the app). I also noticed an occasionally, slight delay when swiping to rotate the camera. Sometimes it was there, while other times, there was no lag.

Going to the camera itself, like I mentioned before, the quality was great. Day time vision was very clear and I was pleased with the product. The product also mentioned night vision so I decided to test it. The quality was pretty nice. Obviously, in the dark you won’t be seeing a colorful image, but it worked out. What I noticed was if a person was close to the device, he/she would appear bright, it works best at a distance.

One thing I noticed about the camera was that while it has incredible views (350 degrees left and right, tilt 105 degrees up and down, and zoom), I wish it was able to go 360 degrees. It’s more of a hassle by say if the device is positioned at 10 degrees and I want to go to 350 degrees. I can’t simply swipe twice and move the camera to the right, I have to swipe a bunch of times to get that view. Also, there isn’t a sign on the app that says “max rotation reached, swipe other way,” it just shows the swipe arrow and you expect it to work but get disappointed because you think there is an enormous delay or maybe it isn’t responding.

But overall, the device itself is fantastic. The app has some few quirks, but nothing too drastic. I highly recommend it.

I am really enjoying my Kodak CFH-V15. Currently I have my camera facing the front door inside my apartment and it has been working well ever since I turned it on. Kodak packed a lot into this pretty small device. It’s great for people who want an easy to use/setup system that doesn’t require a private server setup.

    Comments:
-Super easy installation. Consistent with the other reviews, it actually only took me 5 minutes to have this camera up and running. You need to download the free app to use the camera (i’m using the iphone, and the app works very well). It’s pretty intuitive.
-Picture quality is very good. Are you going to get a perfectly crisp “Reitna” like image, no, but the feed is still really good for seeing what’s going on in the space
-Love the microphone/speaker integration. I’m able to listen to what’s going on in the room remotely, which is a pretty neat feature, especially if you have a baby or pet (I have neither at the moment, but I can see this coming in handy)
-360 degree view. I wanted a camera that could swivel remotely in case I wanted to change the view. It’s nice to have that flexibility.
-Easy to navigate app. You can control the settings of the camera, including the night vision, which is surprisingly excellent.

    Some things to consider:
-This camera is designed to work only with the isecurity+ app. If you want to hook the camera up to your own private server, this isn’t going to work.
-If you want to have more than 24 hours worth of storage, you need to upgrade your service plan with isecuirty+.

I have to say I am really impress by this product. The video monitor was quick and easy to setup. Within literally less than 5 minutes the video monitor was fully setup. From my phone I could see, hear, and talk through the video monitor. The video monitor is not just limited to ios/android. You can also view/control the video monitor from their website.

The video quality of the product is sharp and clear and it also has a night vision functionality. You can also pan and tilt the device for a 360 view as well as hear the device’s surrounding. In addition to the microphone it has speakers so you could speak through it. Which can be used as a video intercom.

This product will be perfect for multiple occasions. Personally I am using this as a security camera for my apartment as I am an airbnb host. But with the two way audio communication you can use it as a baby monitor and hear when your child starts making noises. Or as a pet monitor, if you are away and you see your pets making trouble you can shout at them from your phone. In addition the phone is setup so that you would get a notification when the video monitor detects movement. And all movements is stored on the cloud for up to 1 day for free. It is $10/month for 14 more days and $20/month for for 30 days.

The camera also comes with some screws and drywall anchors so you can mount it on your wall. I would say one downside is that the motion event notification can only be sent to your phones as of right now. It would be good if you can have it send emails to you when an event happens. The video monitor can also be shared with multiple people, that way other people can also see through the video monitor.

If your goal is to monitor your house while you are away, this camera will do fine for that purpose. It has above average build quality and feels sturdy and durable. However, the camera lacks the smooth user experience that you expect from a brand name product. Let’s first go over setup and usage and lastly list the pros and cons of the device.

Setting up the Kodak CFH-V15 is easy. Inside the box is the camera, power cord and instruction manual. Screws are also provided incase you want to mount it to a wall or ceiling. Simply install the app, plug in the camera and register for an account on the app to begin monitoring. The app allows you to see what the camera is seeing nomatter where you are. Additionally the app allows you to control the camera to pan around at 350 degrees or tilt up to 105 degrees. There is also the option to zoom on and out. With both tilting the camera and zooming in and out there is a 1-2 second lag time between when you input the command to when the picture itself moves. You can use the app to save videos or pictures directly to your mobile device as well.

The events section of the app allows the camera to be set up to automatically record events where there is movement. The sensitivity can be adjusted and the videos can be saved for up to 24 hours in the cloud. The movement detection is very sensitive at max settings and is able to catch even the smallest amount of movement. There are a few premium add on services that you will need to spend extra for if you want to use such as 14 day and 30 day cloud storage was well as event categorization.

Night vision works very well as well and pictures quality is surprisingly good at night. However I often found that the camera would prematurely adjust to night vision mode even when light conditions were adequate.

    Pros:

    – Great night vision picture quality
    – Easy to set up
    – Good build quality
    – Works on iOS and Android

    Cons:

    – Sometimes switches to night vision prematurely
    – Has lag when moving the camera or zooming in
    – The highest resolution offered is 720p
    – Have to pay for premium services if you want extended cloud storage

This camera is a great option if you just need something that is reliable and will work right out of the box. However if you are looking for a smooth user experience, you’ll have to look for a more premium product.

The Kodak CFH-V15 is a nice and easy to use security camera wit talk back capabilities. The hardware itself is pretty great, easy to set up, and delivers a nice crisp HD picture from within wifi range and when you are out and about on your smart phone or laptop. The most glaring issues come in the software of the camera and the awful isecurity+ website. If you buy this camera, I recommend only ever using the app for your iOS or Android device, as the computer website that you login to view your live feed has some bad glitches.

I bought the device as added security, and to live feed and see what exactly my dogs get up to while I am gone. I like that the app allows you to sync and view multiple camera set ups with just a few touches of your screen. I like that it gives me the ability to speak loudly and clearly through the camera. I also like how easy it was to set up, took about five minutes, the app is very intuitive, so even the most in experienced smart phone user could be up and running within twenty minutes. I also like how crisp the video feed is not just when you are connected to the same network as the camera, but also when you are out and around town or at work, you can check in from anywhere and get a nice 720p HD feed, even though the app design is very outdated. However, there are some flaws. The camera is extremely slow when accessing it from your computer or laptop. Half of the time the feed does not work on your computer/laptop. I would like the pan and tilt operation of the camera to be a bit smoother and more accurate. When you have Nightvision set to auto, it seems that the light sensor is broken, because even in a room with full bright light coming in, or lights all turned on, the camera thinks there is not enough light and keeps it in Nightvision. I just now turn it off or on depending on when I am checking in, or how I am leaving it.

Overall, I recommend the product, but only use the smartphone app. Hopefully Kodak fixes these software issues, because that seems to be the only thing holding it back.

As an IT professional and a home security enthusiast, I was pretty excited to get my Kodak in the mail.
Arrival: Classic Prime shipping- was here promptly and securely packaged. The packaging Kodak decided on does the job well. It’s tightly packed in a formed case inside of the box, no room to be shaken around.
Setup: Setup was a breeze – first you download the app, and then power on your camera. The power adapter is well positioned under a shielded plastic plate that tucks the power cable in, which prevents it from being pulled out or damaged. The plate can be unscrewed with a slight turn of the hand, and tightens just the same way. Once powered on, your phone can connect to the camera via wireless broadcast. A very distinguishable SSID will be broadcast for you to connect to. Once connected- you open the app and pretty much follow the prompts to get the camera on your wifi, name it, and set up credentials.
Use: Here we go, the good stuff. The camera itself presents a VERY high quality feed to your phone. My camera was about 750 feet and up a floor from the wireless router and I was impressed with it’s throughput. Controlling the PTZ with your app is very responsive and not near as limited as other home camera setups I have seen. The classic screen pinch controls zoom in and out, and you can pan any which way using finger swipes. It really is a pleasure to work with. While the app isn’t TOO robust, the features it does include are useful. The audio is off by default, but once turned on it works very well. It’s plenty loud and clear. It doesn’t get drowned out by any odd electrical buzz. You can record video to your phone, or take a screenshot. You can also set your phone to notify you with a notification if the camera senses motion while your app is running in the background. There is a way to set up special events and recording, but from what I could tell this may be a subscription service offered by Kodak. The camera comes with a 2 week free trial of these features.
Overall: I am VERY impressed with this camera for the price. I have installed professional grade PTZs and DVRs that don’t offer this high quality of audio and video. The features the app includes are just what you want without a bunch of bloated, useless junk. This was my first foray into Kodak’s home security, and I have to say I’m impressed.
My one complaint (which really is too strong a word) is that the camera can only operate on the 2.4Ghz band and not the 5ghz that my Nighthawk and some higher line routers can offer- BUT the 2.4 is not bottlenecking quality at all as far as I can tell.

I have had this Camera for a little over a day now and I really like it so far. I love having the ability to rotate the camera 360 degrees and the picture is great! This camera has a lot of different uses. I set it up on my great room last night so I could watch my kids, pets, etc. I am debating long term putting it in my basement for security camera purposes. The app on the iphone is great and easy to use. Set up was also easy!

Been using this camera for about a week. Overall, I found it be very useful and would definitely recommend to a friend.

    Pros
    * Super easy to set up. Great for first time users. Took about 5 mins from opening to using.
    * Sturdy and built well. Seems like it will last a while.
    * Attractive and also blends in.
    * Convenient to use via your smart phone. Its great that you can see your camera from anywhere you have access to your phone. You can also set up multiple cameras or phones to access.
    * The listening and microphone features are very cool. You could set this and communicate with people at your door where ever you are in the world.

    Cons
    * Controlling the camera is a bit laggy (1-2 second delay) Which is understandable. You are trying to control a camera via wifi from your smart phone.
    * App reminds me early phone apps, not fully developed or aesthetically pleasing. But it’s fairly simple and straight forward to use.
    * Poor night vision if using directly behind glass, you can only see the reflection.
    * Camera angles sometimes don’t allow for the advertised 350-degree viewing angle.

    Other
    * A “Reset Camera” position button would be great!
    * A bit expensive, but the free cloud storage makes it worth it.
    * On the app, remember to put “Remember Login” so you don’t have to type in password everytime.

Overall this is a good camera which does the basics as well as it claims. The advanced features are a bit limiting. Here’s the summary:

    Pros:
    – Setup is simple and phone app (Android) is easy to use
    – Image quality is great, even at night
    – Audio and 2-way voice works well
    – Pan/tilt is easy to control and gives very wide FOV

    Cons:
    – Motion sensitivity is not very good
    – Software is closed: you cannot use third-party software, stream video, etc.

Setup: the camera broadcasts a wifi signal that you can connect to to setup the system. Setup is straightforward through the phone app, and I didn’t encounter any difficulties making an account or setting up the camera.

Image: The video is crisp in both color and grayscale night vision. The FOV isn’t amazing, but that’s made up for with the motorized pan/tilt. Video quality will automatically degrade depending on your wireless connection, though you can set it up at a fixed image quality and framerate as well.

Audio: Both 1- and 2-way audio is clear, and there’s no difficulty carrying on a conversation with someone. The audio is disabled by default in the app, but can be easily enabled and there’s no noticeable noise on the channel. Unfortunately it seems like there’s no way to use audio when using the web interface, so you need to use the phone app.

Pan/tilt: pan and tilt can be easily controlled with buttons on the web interface or swipes on the phone. Control stops there; you can’t move it in finer increments or set the angles. However, the interface is good enough for pretty much anything you need, and you can easily view the camera’s full range, including full 360 view (rotation is slightly less, but the view overlaps).

Motion sensitivity: I was very disappointed with this feature. My camera was pointed at an area with large windows, and even at the lowest sensitivity level, changes in light level (i.e. a cloud passing in front of the sun) would regularly trigger it, while minor motions that I’d have liked to track were missed. A simple filter should be able to eliminate this kind of false-positive. Perhaps the paid version works better, but the free version wasn’t satisfactory for me.

Closed software: I was also disappointed that the iSecurity app/website is the only way to view or control the camera. This means that you can’t stream video or audio to a third-party software, and you can’t control the camera’s motors as there’s no API provided. This means, for instance, that you can’t hook up the camera feed to better motion-detection software. There’s probably a way to get the feed out, but it’s not easy.

Overall a great camera for connecting and looking around your house at your kids/pets/whatever, or if you’re willing to review a lot of detections each day. Not a great choice if you want to rely on automatic intruder detection without false-positives, and not the right choice for anyone wanting to integrate it with existing home-automation or programmatic control.

I received my camera 2 days ago and just now had a chance to set it up. Fast shipping and I was impressed with the packaging too. It had its own cardboard mold around the camera and some bubble wrap. I used to own an IP camera that was a pain to set up and stay connected. This set up was fairly straight forward and pretty easy to get it up and running. Still no problems staying connected too. I love that fact that you can view it on your phone and PC at anytime. A con for the PC is the lag though. When moving the camera up down and side to side there is more lag on the PC than the using your phone. The camera feed is very high quality though capturing 1280X720. The design is very nice. It feels very well put together and sleek looking. You also have the capability to mount the camera and there are options of storing video. If you are looking for and inexpensive baby cam or just for home security I would definitely recommend this camera.

First, a quick summary: This “Darth Vader-esque” camera does fine for my intended purpose of home surveillance. Build quality, while being made out of mostly plastic, doesn’t feel cheap or prone to breakage. Unfortunately, the camera does suffer from a less-than-stellar user experience.

Inside the box is the camera, power cord, screws and instruction manual. For my purposes, I mounted the camera in the ceiling, providing a view of the entire length of my hallway. To connect my phone to the camera, I installed the iSecurity+ App on my android phone and registered for an account. A free account gives you 1 day of cloud storage, which is honestly on the low side. The app will allow you to see what the camera is seeing and control the pan, tilt, and zoom of the camera regardless of location. Also, the app allows you to save and store important videos directly to your phone. Unfortunately, the experience was not completely smooth; moving or zooming the camera would generate about 2 seconds of lag until the camera adjusts to your inputs. I’ve come to expect this with wireless cameras and is a minor annoyance.

The motion detection works well and the sensitivity can be adjusted via the app. The movement detection can be hit or miss, and is very sensitive at max setting; catching the dust particles that happen to cross my camera field of vision.

The impact to quality from daytime to nighttime is negligible and expected. During the day, video quality is good, but there is a “fuzziness” to the video quality that could have used some sharpening adjustments and it’ll be the same way during nighttime when the grey-scale kicks in. I’d wish the camera would switch to night-vision later in the day, especially when there is still very adequate lighting.

    Pros:
    – Good picture quality with some expected “fuzziness”
    – Setup is easy, mount or just place the camera, plug it in then your home via your phone or browser
    – Good build quality, although would not want to use it outside with cover

    Cons:
    – Only one-day of free cloud storage
    – User experience is prone to lag and could use some optimizations
    – Switches to night vision mode too early
    – Motion sensor can be hit-or-miss

I purchased my Kodak Security Cam for two reasons: 1) Security to make sure no one is breaking into my home and 2) To figure out which one of my dogs is peeing on my couch! I don’t necessarily live in bad part of town, so I don’t have a huge worry that my house will be broken into, but it’s much more comforting knowing I can pull out my phone and check on things if I have a bad feeling. I also discovered it was my younger pup that was peeing on my couch. I thought it was him, but now I know my other dog doesn’t more house training lessons.

    How does it work!
I always want to know this first. It works on an App that you download from Google Play or the App Store. You plug in your Camera, download the app on your phone, and then connect your phone to the camera. The camera gives off it’s own WiFi, which is how you initially connect your phone to the camera, then the App connects the camera to your WiFi and your all set! You can set your camera to be private (only you can see through it) or public (anyone with the app and the camera name/password can see through it).

    Pros:
Very clear video that you can zoom in/out and move around to get a 180* view.
    Easy to set up
You can take pictures or video through the security camera on your phone, and save it in your gallery.
Records Sound in the video so you can hear what’s going on as well
Has a speaker so you can speak through your camera, and can actually have conversations with people in your house since the camera has a microphone as well.
Comes with screws so you can install it anywhere in or outside of your house

    Cons:
    Black and white video
Can’t adjust volume on the Security Camera, it’s always loud. Not necessarily a bad thing to keep intruders out. but makes having a conversation with someone through your camera harder since it’s so loud.
Lag between commands given in the App and the time it takes the Security Cam to receive it. For me it takes the Camera around 10 seconds to move up or down from when I click the up or down command. That being said it doesn’t move all the way down after clicking the down button, the app will wait until the camera moves a set amount before it will allow you give it another command like moving down again. This is actually really nice because I would hate it if I had to keep adjusting it down and then a little up.

I am loving my Kodak Video Monitor CFD-V15. The set up took less than two minutes! For a camera the size of a fist, the visual display on my phone was amazingly clear. The length of the power cable was long enough to place where I wanted. My only suggestion would be that stickers would come with the camera, that would say “This home is under surveillance”

I’m currently using it to watch my pet at home while i’m away. One of the reasons I got this camera is so that I can remotely control what i’m viewing and given that you don’t need to set up a server / storage system since everything here is in the cloud. I am not a tech savvy person, but I found this relatively easy to use and would recommend this one to anyone.

Hey, I’m not a great writer or review person, but here it goes. I’ve had this for about 12 hours and I love it. I will probably buy 5 more. It was very easy to set up, even for this old man who hates technology and setting crap up. One little hiccup for me, but still up in 20 minutes. I bought it to monitor my dog, but will now buy more fore the security of the house. I party at the bars a lot and have to leave my puppy at home for 5 hours at a time. I’m at the bar now, talking to her and I can hear her howl back at me. Great product. Thank you Kodak for, what I think, is a fare price, for a great product. Night vision is perfect for me. I’ll try to post some pics.

The Kodak CFH-V15 is a pretty solid little camera. I don’t think that it is meant to be setup outside, but I have mine outside in a covered area and it is working fine for now, we will see how it holds up once the weather gets worse. The image at night is not as clear, but that is expected since the camera itself provides all of the IR light in its field of view. At the end of the day, I do not think that anybody will be disappointed with this camera.

    PROS:
Great field of view. I can see all over the front of my house when moving the camera.
    Easy setup.
The microphone is very sensitive and can pick up my neighbors dogs barking from blocks away.
The app on my iPhone is very user friendly.
The camera can sense movement and notify you on your phone when it does.

    CONS:
The app freezes occasionally, not enough to be a huge issue for me, but it does happen every now and again.
The motion of the camera is not a smooth motion, if you want to go from viewing all the way one direction to all the way the other, it takes numerous swipes of the screen.
The camera is very sensitive when it comes to sensing movement. I have it on it’s lowest sensitivity setting and it picks up shadows moving and sends me a notification. Probably not the best if you are using it outdoors, unless you want to get notifications every other minute.

Overall, I like this camera and could see using it for either home security or as a video intercom for my kids (my youngest often wakes up at night and I don’t hear her right away — the phone notifications for camera events is perfect for this). I was hoping this would be a great “video” baby monitor, but because it does not seem designed to stream to devices for prolonged periods of time, this might not be a great use case. However it is great with recorded events and for peeking in / intercom’ing. The camera stream works surprisingly well when you’re away from home and on cellular data — though it drains your battery pretty fast. Finally, its very easy to setup (if that kind of thing concerns you), though you do need an Android or iOS device. If you want more info, check out my breakdown below:

    What’s in the box:
    The camera itself
    AC adapter
Some mounting hardware (that I haven’t used)

    Setup experience:
Setup was very straightforward and is done entirely through the (in my case, android) app (note to buyers: if you don’t have a smartphone, then I suspect this camera isn’t for you). You download the iSecurity+ app from the app store and use this for the initial setup. Presumably if you have no security on your wifi, then the camera will just automatically connect, otherwise you will need to give the camera your home wifi network details (i.e., the SSID and the password). To do this, you connect your phone to the Camera’s wireless network (the camera has its own wifi — used both for the initial setup and later, optionally as an extender to your home wifi network). Once connected, you can provide details of your home wireless network. Then you’re good to go.

    Video:
The video quality is very high in most lighting conditions. When night mode is set to “auto”, it’s a bit aggressive and defaults to the night mode black and white over the standard full color, even when the room is fairly well lit.

    Pan/Tilt:
Pan/Tilt is not one-to-one but rather the camera will move right/left or up/down in discrete amounts in response to a swipe (on the smartphone app) or a click of the web button (on the website). The android app is pretty unresponsive to pan/tilt attempts. Oftentimes, it will display an arrow on the screen, indicating that it read my swipe input, but the camera will not move. In contrast, the iPhone app pan/tilts fairly well (though there is about a 1 second lag).

    Audio In/Out:
Audio transmission from the (Android) app works very well and is clear enough in both directions even over cellular data, so that I could use it while out at the store to tell my two daughters to “get back in bed” before their grandparents caught them. The website, however, does not seem to either play audio from the stream or allow you to transmit audio.

    General:
    – I was originally under the impressions from the “product features” that the camera would record 24 hours of stream to the cloud (without a subscription). This doesn’t seem to be true. Instead, the camera records clips when events are triggered (through detected camera motion and/or audio). While this might be perfectly fine for some use cases, it seems an important distinction from true 24 hour recording to the cloud.

    – The software doesn’t permit simultaneous logins. For example, I was testing the software on and iPad and Android phone. When I logged in from the Android phone, I got a message on the iPad saying “Logged Out! There has been a log-in of the same username and password from another computer or device.” This seems like a bad design decision. Why not let multiple devices be logged in concurrently and access the stream?

    – When I left the webpage stream idling for some time and returned to it later, I found that the camera movement controls were not responsive. As it turned out, the entire page was frozen (and the stream not displaying updates). This is a pretty serious problem if you rely on the web streaming to view the camera feed — how do you know the stream is actually updating and that you’re not looking at a stagnant image? When you start streaming on the android app, it says it may “time out” after 5 minutes. So it would seem that you can’t consistently and reliably stream the video to anything (smartphone or PC) for a long period of time, which is pretty unfortunate. This would have made a fantastic baby monitor if I could have opened up a stream on any browser and left it running. Fortunately, there is another way to do this using “event recording”. You can set your phone to record events (camera motion and/or audio triggered) and then send a notification to your phone when they occur.

    – My overall impression is that the hardware is great for the price, but the software could use significant improvement. The best experience is with the iPhone app (there is no separate iPad app, by the way, so it does not provide a better interface for larger screens). The Android app works well, besides the issues with camera movement. The website doesn’t provide audio in/out, but has better interface for events.

    Android / iOS App:
There are four main “tabs” to the app:

    1. Mine (i.e. your cameras) – you can click to pull up the live stream and from there control the camera’s pan/tilt , toggle on/off the audio from the stream and press and hold the microphone button to talk through the camera’s speaker.

    2. Friends – I don’t have any friends with which I’m sharing camera streams, so I can’t comment on this, except to say that it seems like a nice optional feature.

    3. Events — events are automatically triggered recordings (based on camera movement and/or audio events). This tab was a bit confusing because it lists your camera with a button “Free Trial” next to it. While I never initiated the free trial by clicking that button, I was able to capture events and view them by clicking on the camera in the events tab.

    4. Settings.

The Android app has the following Camera settings:
Camera details (Name, viewable by friend status / invite friends, share, time zone)
    Night Vision (Auto/On/Off)
    Rotation (normal/flipped vertically)
    Auto Adjust (On/Off)
    Microphone (On/Off)
    Speaker volume (slider)
    Free 1-day Cloud storage (On/Off)
    Phone Notification (On/Off)
    Motion Sensitivity (slider)
    Extend [home wifi network] (On/Off)

The iPad app has the same settings as the above with two exceptions:
    1. It has the extra option: Video Size (1280×720 / 640×360 / 320×180)
    2. Instead of “Free 1-day cloud storage” it has: Free Event Recording (On/Off)

    Other things about the apps:
    – Android often forces you to retype in your password if you log out (or disable auto-login)… a small issue, but it can get annoying.
    – Android app has issues with camera motion control (pan/tilt)
    – The website (despite not having audio streaming or audio transmit controls) has a nice interface for the recorded events.
    – None of the interfaces (Android/iOS/PC web) are built for multi-camera setups, so if you were planning on buying several of these, there’s no nice way to have a “security monitor” setup with multiple streams them showing simultaneously.
    – Almost all of the issues I mentioned could be addressed with updating the app/website software…. Please do!

Here’s a quick rundown to go with the video

    Pros:

    Extremely easy to set up

    Great picture quality

    Small and sleek

    Two way communication

    Free 24hr cloud storage

    Cons:

Significant lag in using the application, might be able to lower the quality to speed it up, but it’s supposed to automatically do this

No way to directly access the camera to integrate it into my own setup/use my own server. This means there’s no local interface either, everything must be done through the app or their website.

Basically, it comes down to what type of user you are. I recommend this for almost everyone, since I know they’re not interested in integrating this with a local server. For tinkerers, you may want to consider the cons listed above if you want both a camera and a toy.

Update 8-20-15 – Camera delay is much lower now. The service may have had issues when I did the original review, or perhaps they had a period of heavy usage and couldn’t keep up. Either way, the delay is much more reasonable now and makes the whole system much more usable.

Unboxing the camera was quite simple, it comes in a nice shell to protect it. The pamphlet with the directions could be a little easier to follow, but I figured it out after a few minutes. Setting it up is actually quite simple.

As far as the actual operation of the camera, I am very impressed by the picture quality of the live feed that it generates. It did take me a few minutes to figure out how to pan the camera and change the night vision settings. Overall, I am quite happy with the camera and would recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing a camera. My wife and I liked it so much, we decided to order another one! The free app that works in conjunction with the camera allows you to add as many cameras as you want, which is great. We are even able to share our pet camera with our kids!

I Purchased this camera to keep an eye on my house while away for a week. It was really great and exceeded my expectations. The little darth-vader-like helmet design is unassuming and can easily be tucked away in a corner of a room.

The setup was a breeze based on the instructions that come with it. You simply download the iSecurity+ app, register, plug in the camera, connect it on your home network, and you’re good to go.

The app worked great. It allows you to control not only the movement of the camera, but you can also take snapshots, record video, and have two-way audio conversations as well. The video quality and screenshots on my iphone were very clear. The app allows you to set up notifications on your phone if the camera senses any movement (or even changes to the lighting in my case), or just people. The night vision switches automatically when the room darkens, which was cool.

My only issue with the camera is that you really need to play with your desired motion sensitivity. I was getting notifications on my phone every time the camera sensed a lighting change from a sunny to cloudy sky outside. Turning down the sensitivity through the app cleared that right up.

I’m very happy overall with this camera and it will give me piece of mind when I set it up to check on the kids when they get home from school. I love that I can be notified when they come home and be able to say hi through the camera. I’d suggest this product to anyone.

This product is perfect and a great value. Very happy with it.
It took about 20 seconds to connect it to my home network. After that, I had a real time connection via the android app.
The app can be a little buggy at times. Not loading, crashing, etc.
Colors are sharp. Occasionally, the image was washed out in direct sunlight.
The slightest of motions will trigger the camera. Great for me, but I can see it being annoying for some pet owners out there.
It has a nice talk back feature in which I can use my phone to remotely project my voice through a mic on the back of the camera.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality home security camera for a great price.

This review is for the Kodak HD Wi-Fi Video Monitor with 2-way Audio and 350° pan/tilt CFH-V15 I purchased. I started with a couple in expensive stationary web cams we use to keep an eye on the cat while we are at work. We wanted to get an idea of how comfortable we were with cameras in the house. After promising not to spy on each other why wife and I choose to get a full featured web cam. We wanted to use the new camera as a security camera so we were looking for a camera with night vision, HD, and could be moved remotely. This camera seemed to fit our needs and more. I opened the box and was initially surprised at how little was included. I would later find out little is needed to set this camera up. You get the camera, a power cord, and instructions. Setting up the camera could not be easier. You plug it in, download the app and follow directions. In 5 minutes I had the camera connected to our wifi and up and running. The HD picture looks great. The camera can be rotated around as advertised. I wish there were more increments between rotations and it is a little noisy as it turns. The picture can also be zoomed in, a feature I was not expecting but find very helpful. I did notice that night vision stays on until the room is very sunny. There are times I think night vision should be off but is still on. You can tell because the picture looks black and white and the red lights on the camera are on. This is very minor to me. The next feature I learned about was the built in speaker. It took me a minute to figure out you need to enable the audio to be able to speak through the built in speaker. This can be awkward as you hear your voice echo. This provided great fun as we caught my parents feeding the cat while we were away and startled them by saying hello. The app is very easy to use. I was disappointed that two users could not log in at the same time. There have been times my wife will text me to check the camera then it kicks her off. I have not yet tried reviewing the cloud storage but it is a nice feature. Overall I give this camera a 5 stars because it has the features I was looking for at the right price point. There are cameras with more features that cost more so you have to decide what set of features work best for you. This worked perfect for my needs.

I bought this product with high expectations as some of the reviews were giving this monitor a lot of praise. First the setup experience wasn’t bad. It took about 10 minutes to get everything up and running and the directions were easy to follow. One thing I noticed was that it seemed to freeze a few times when I was viewing. There’s a slight delay when moving the camera angle which got better after I switched the quality down a bit. The picture quality was great and the night vision was good as well. I just wish it worked with my LiveCams app on my iPhone as I have two other monitors and would like to have them all viewable in one app. Overall this is an OK monitor. Good quality video but lacking in other areas.

The Kodak CFH-V15 video monitoring is a mountable HD camera you can access from anywhere around the world as long as you have internet access. Packed full of features, the Kodak CFH-V15 comes with 2 way voice communication, pan/zoom, night vision, and fully compatibility with Android and iOS.

    Pros
    ~Fast and easy setup
    ~24 hour cloud storage
    ~2 way voice communication
    ~Motion Sensor notifications

    Cons
~App is choppy/slow at times on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4
~Delay between phone and camera can be frustrating but isn’t a huge deal

Delivery: Inside the box there are only 4 components including the camera, ac adapter, wall mounts, and basic instructions. Actual unboxing was a breeze due to the lack of twist ties, zip ties, or unnecessary plastic.

Setting up the camera was very simple and straight forward. With average technological skills, anyone should be able to complete setup in 10 minutes or less. Since I did not mount mine to a wall/ceiling, all I had to do was download and install the app to my phone, connect to my camera, connect the camera to WiFi, register, and you’re all done!

Quick Tip: If your camera is too far away from your router, the app may not be able to connect to your camera. So what I did was go into the camera settings and scroll to the bottom and turn on Range Extender [BETA].

Use: I live in an area where vandalism can happen at anytime, so I installed the camera to be monitoring my car and property at all times. Whats great is the free 24 hour cloud storage so if something were to happen, all I have to do is refer to the last 24 hours to see what happened. Using the app is pretty simple but is slightly choppy (using Samsung Galaxy Note 4). My favorite feature is the pan/zoom. The range and zoom you can reach with this camera is absolutely amazing! All with the simple swipe on the screen. Another cool feature is the motion sensing, so anytime the camera detects movement, (based on the sensitivity you set) you will receive a notification.

Conclusion: For the price, this is a knockout. You get great picture quality, tons of great features, and a 1 year manufacturers warranty. This camera is one that can adapt to its situation, for instance if you install it at your front door you can see whos there before they knock and use the two way communication to see what they want. My only real complaint is the app, its not the smoothest or fastest, but it is just okay. I really wish Kodak made a proprietary app to manage the Camera instead of using the iSecurity+ third party app. Some people may find trouble with the app if they use a very old smartphone.

I received this camera a few weeks ago. I love the tilt and pan it possess. It was the reason why I bought the product, and it works. It is perfect at monitoring what happens inside your home. The only thing you would have to be careful about is if you were to put it outside, do not forget about the wiring to a home plug. Nevertheless, the pan and tilt make it easy to find the perfect place for it. It also allows you to see what happens at different openings of the house. The video is of great quality.

This video monitor is fantastic! We have been using it in our living room for three weeks now, and no problems whatsoever. Set up was simple. I followed the instructions in the quick start guide, which is part of the package contents. It truly was a “quick start”. The monitor is controlled by an app, which is free and easy to navigate. I downloaded it to my android device, and have had no complications. Using it during the daylight hours, and in the darkness of night has proven to be flawless. I can view whatever is going on in that room, at any given time. I can pan up, down, left, or right, to ensure that I can see all areas of the room. Using the sound features (being able to hear what is going on in the room, as well as being able to talk to whoever is in the room) can be entertaining. While I haven’t needed to use the sound often, it has been fun to frighten my children periodically! As you are viewing the real-time happenings of the area you are monitoring, you have the ability to record stills or video. This ability is easily accessed through the app, with very little brain power to figure out. You can also set the monitor to record 9 second clips when it senses motion, which is then stored in “a cloud” for 24 hours (also accessed through the app), for your review. You can have the app alert you when motion is detected, or not, your choice.
Honestly, we were giving this monitor a trial run in the security of our home, in order to determine if it would be something that would work for us in my husband’s shop. We have needed an inexpensive, simple, do-it-yourself monitor for his business. This monitor has proven to be just what we are looking for.

I bought the Kodak CFH-V15 as a second camera to monitor other areas of my home. I already own a Foscam FI8910W that I use regularly as a baby monitor.
I received the Kodak CFH-V15 last week and I’ve been using it since. The box arrived on time and the camera was well packaged.
I opened the box looking for an ethernet cable to connect it to a pc and do the setup (like the Foscam), but I couldn’t find it.
That’s because you don’t need a computer to setup the camera, you do it on your phone through an app. The app is easy to download, free and easy to use. This may be a blessing if you want something quick and easy, but I wish I had the option to customize it more and use third-party applications or software.
Doing the initial setup and having the cam up and running was extremely quick and easy. Just plug the camera, follow the instructions in the included booklet and that’s it.
I’m impressed by the video quality, more so during the day than during the night, when the IR feature is on.
The 2 way audio quality is also very good (much better than the Foscam). Pan, tilt and zoom are a nice feature. They are very responsive when I’m in the same network as the camera, through Wi-Fi, and a little slower when I’m away (just 2 or 3 second delay), but that’s pretty normal.
Motion triggered notification and free 24 hour cloud storage are very useful. If you need it, you can purchase additional cloud storage plans, not something I need at the moment.
The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling with the included wall mount. I wish it came with a bracket, to add more flexibility but it’s not a big deal.
The only thing I really don’t like is the fact that you can’t access the video stream from two different devices at the same time. I hope they will fix this soon.

I received this camera, I wanted to use it to see who is at the front door without having to come downstairs.

Ultimately it did prove to be a bit difficult to setup, although that is more at fault with my settings with my home server.

I was able to get it setup within 5 minutes, get the account configured and started playing around with the settings.

I like how you can amp the quality up but drop FPS down lower to compensate, allowing for better images at reduced bandwidth.

Overall, I have no complaints about the camera, now I just need to find a spot to mount the thing.

    Great purchase!

This camera is awesome… No one can believe the excellent picture quality and it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb. In fact, my daughter gave her house key to a friend and I could actually tell who was in my house. He stood right in front of the camera and didn’t notice it. My daughter hasn’t discovered it in plain view either. I am thinking of getting another one to watch the dog in the yard as well. This is a must for anyone wanting to keep an eye on the kids or their house in general and I love the online video which tells me just which frames have motion vs people in it.

The Kodak CFH-V15 camera is worth the money and peace of mind. There are a few quirks that knocked off a star, but overall, I was impressed.

    Positives:
    -Easy to setup, and install.
-Video quality is 720 with adjustable quality options in the app.
-App is easy to use and fairly intuitive.
-Gives peace of mind when away from home to monitor my puppy.
-Long power cord included to allow flexibility placing the camera.
-Night vision in low light / dark settings.
-Web page access to view when mobile app not able to be used.

    Negatives:
-App uses a network port that is blocked by my works WiFi, forcing me to use mobile data or the website.
-Have to pay for more advanced options like motion activated recording.
-Expected better range of motion being able to aim the camera downward.
-When using the talk feature, speaker distorts and doesn’t reproduce very accurately.

All things considered, this camera is great. I use it to monitor my puppy when left alone, and it is great for peace of mind and knowledge of what really goes on when I’m not home. If he is getting into trouble, I can talk to him and tell him to stop.

    I recommend this product!

In a line – this is a good camera for entry level-ip camera users but not a good camera for those with other ip cameras.

The good – the camera just works. You plug it in, set up the app to connect to wifi and you’re off operating the camera. The picture quality is good and it does what it’s supposed to do. I didn’t really play with the 24 hour storage feature although I think the free storage may be useful to some users.

The bad – The software is not particularly robust and a little laggy. Even scrolling seems difficult although pinch to zoom worked well. The only way to access the controls of the camera is through the kodak app. There is no web based access. It also appears incompatible with other ip camera software. This is a major problem if you already have non-kodak ip cams like foscams. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this camera is a bandwidth hog! We have a solid cable connection and an ac wireless router. I was getting video streaming lag after installing the camera. Checked the router and found the Kodak camera was eating up bandwidth like a champ.

Conclusion – I’d recommend this camera to non-technical users that had bandwidth to spare. If they were heavy netflix users, gamers, or had a set of existing Foscams, I would recommend they go with a different ip cam, like a Foscam, that would give them more flexibility usually at a lower price.

I purchased this WiFi camera to use primarily as a baby monitor. After our little one has moved out of the crib I intended to use it for home security and monitoring.

I really like this camera, easy to set up, easy to use. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because when used inside to monitor outside it catches a lot of glare and you can’t get a picture at night because of the glare from the glass. I use this to monitor my front door when Im not home, and a Canary inside for the rest of the house. I could have saved $150 and just got 2 of these, but the Canary has some really good features.

I was really impressed with the only slight delay, and free cloud storage is amazing for the price. The delay is maybe 1-2 seconds for me, as apposed to the Canary with a 10-20 second delay.

**update, this camera is well worth it! a couple days after I posted the review I had some strange man come look into my front window (where the camera was) and walk around to the side of my house. I turned on a siren I have installed and he took off. The camera alerts you right away and with very little delay. I got a great shot of his face, since he stuck it right into the camera. I love that you can download the video right to your phone.

I have been using the Kodak CFH-V15 for the past month and I must say that I’ve been impressed. I will note right away, if you do not own an iPhone are android phone this camera will likely not work for you. The setup is done through the app and without a phone that supports the app you will not be able to set the camera up.

I found the camera setup to be relativity easy. You plug the camera in and then open up the app on your phone. From there you connect to the camera and setup the wifi password so that it can connect to your home network. One downside I did notice is that there is not a native app for the iPad. Because of this I ended up downloading the iPhone version of the app to my iPad and set it up that way. It would be nice if Kodak would make the app universal so that it wasn’t so ugly on the iPad. This was my only complaint with the setup process.

Using the camera for daily use is a breeze. The video quality is excellent and the pan/tilt feature allows you to see an entire room easily. The app also works well and allows you to set up notifications to alert you if motion is detected. This ensures that you will not miss anything moving in the room that you have the camera setup in. The app also gives you the ability to speak through a speaker that is on the camera, so if you have a pet you could easily speak to them remotely.

Overall I would say that this camera is an excellent option for anyone that is looking for a home security camera. The quality is excellent and while the app is not the greatest, it does do its job well enough.

Out or my security cameras, this one was the easiest to set up. With resolution at 1280×720, I’m able to have a nice picture quality with the convenience of being able to rotate the camera.. Overall, setup was simple. Once I unboxed the product and plugged in the power, I’ve downloaded the recommended app, isecurity+ mobile app, signed up, and quickly connected to my wifi network without any issues. Image and audio quality is good.

3rd-Party Tools Support: I haven’t been able to connect but will update the review if I figure it out. I don’t need it but just something to keep in mind.

    Pros:
    – Easy setup
    – Push notifications
    – Free 1-Day online storage
    – Nice design, all black

    Cons:
    – No Ethernet Ports

    What’s in the box:
    – Camera
    – AC Adapter
    – Instructions
    – Wall Mounting Hardware (tapped under the plastic inserts)

We have had the Kodak CFH-V15 for a week now. The camera itself is good, but I think the app is buggy. It tends to just sit there and churn when I click on my camera to view it. There is a 2-3 sec delay on the video, which is okay, but sometimes the app freezes, so it doesn’t show the correct picture. However, you can turn the mic on and listen to what is happening? But what good is that. You have to manually turn of event recording while you are home, or else you get videos of you and your family doing your normal routines. The free 1-day cloud storage is good, and most products don’t have that. Quality of the picture is very good whether day or night. However, if you leave it on auto, it will probably be on night vision (black/white) when not home, as not enough lighting. I have to set it to off during the day, so I can see in color. Alerts are very good, and spot on. But I would only use that when away from your house, or else you will get a lot of phone alerts, unless you turn off event recording or the mobile alerts. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the phone app. You can pan/tilt, but it’s not a continuous movement, almost in frames, if that makes sense. You can also manually set to record, but haven’t checked to see how long it will run. Overall good product, just wish they would fix the app issues, because those get frustrating. Considering sending back and getting something else, but can’t seem to find something better in the same price range with free cloud storage. So really, really hoping they fix the app issues 🙂

he product showed up at my house very quickly. Setup was very easy (i’m not always the best with putting things together and it was very straightforward to me). Picture quality is excellent (I was very impressed with the direction changing feature) and I like the flexibility of being able to keep an eye on my house from my smartphone when I’m out! The two-way talkback feature is pretty neat. It picks up A LOT (there is an ice cream truck outside of our house, and the camera on the second floor picked up the sound from it). The night vision is excellent. You can see very clearly, even in a pitch black room. Also, I just accidentally dropped the camera onto the hardwood floor, and the camera was totally fine! So, if you were wondering about durability in that respect, worry no more! I imagine if you accidentally drop it once or twice, you’ll be fine, but I can’t speak for dropping the camera more than that.

I personally wish that the premium features were just included, instead of being tacked on as add-ons, but thats just me. I also noticed that the camera doesn’t work great looking through windows. The app seemed to be a little laggy, but it wasn’t too bad.

I just wanted a simple, no frills pet cam – this is above and beyond, while still being extremely user friendly. Set up in minutes and no glitches with my home network. The iSecurity+ app is fantastic & works seamlessly with the camera. I’m thinking of getting another (or 2) for different rooms in the house. Could not be happier with this purchase.

I setup this camera in my college apartment yesterday to watch over the front entrance, and my experience has been nothing but positive. I like to be able to see who entered and left, since I leave my door unlocked for short periods of time occasionally (such as when doing laundry) and there have been apartment thefts in the past. The HD picture quality is even better than I expected, and the app is responsive and works well. Setup was a little buggy for me, but I believe that my apartment building’s college-provided wifi is to blame for that, not the camera. Assuming you have your own separate network, you should have no issues.

I really like the ability to get motion notifications, and the talk-back speaker has allowed me to scare my roommates at first, so I guess I could potentially scare some robbers as well. Overall, this camera is excellent and would work great for a variety of purposes.

I received my camera the day after placing my order. I immediately unboxed the camera from the bright yellow Kodak box. After a quick read of the instructions, I was plugging the device into the wall and downloading the Android app.

    The Good:
Setup was a breeze and took less than 2 mins to configure once everything was in place. The picture came into view on my phone and I could see everything the camera was seeing. I am quite happy with this ease of setup and the video quality.

    The Bad:
The screen swiping for camera control seemed backwards to me since you swipe left to turn the camera right and it was like that for all the controls. I couldn’t find a way to change that behavior in the options. The range of motion of the camera was not what I was expecting. You can’t really make it look down so if you want to see the ground you need to either mount the camera in the ceiling or place it low to the ground.

Overall, I give this camera a 4 star rating!

This camera as a product works very well. It was quick to set up. You can connect to it via wifi, and instruct it how to join your home network. Soon after, you can control it, easily listen in and talk back. The software behind it works great. The night vision is surprisingly crisp, and the microphone is quite good. Overall, this is a quality security camera.

However, there was a minor oversight in terms of getting a security camera in the first place. Keep in mind that a camera with microphone capabilities is a bit eerie in the sense that (if the camera is inside) conversations within the house can be overheard. I do not know enough about the digital security of the system, but if it could be compromised, then it is effectively a great tool for spying on yourself. This is obviously simply a feature, and not necessarily a caveat. It’s just something that should be noted that you are placing an internet accessible microphone in your own house. I personally decided to place it outside for this reason.

All in all, a solid product, but just make sure you know the full extent of what you’re buying.

Received the product, and it was easy to setup and had very easy packaging. It comes with the camera, power cord, installation plate for mounting it to a surface, and instruction book. The process to setup was to download the app, connect to the camera’s wifi, then connect the camera to your regular wifi network. The app makes this all very easy.

The picture quality in the app is pretty good, but has low frame rate. The controls to re-position the camera are laggy and imprecise, even over local wifi, so it makes it hard to fine tune the framing of the shot. Not a problem for basic security monitoring, but could be a problem for tracking motion or something.

A cool feature is the ability to talkback. The camera has a speaker on it, and through the app you can speak through it. You can also hear what is happening through the camera mic. Could make it cool to use at your front door or gate to greet people.

Another cool feature is the ability to use motion detection have it alert your phone through the app once it detects motion.

Overall, a useful home monitoring device, but not usable for webcam or high quality recording, as far as I can tell.

I have had this Kodak VH-15 for over 10 days and I have a lot to say about it.

Out of the Box setup and Installation is very simple and easy, it has a manual (which nobody reads nowadays) but it is very helpful for the few initial steps.
The basics are that the camera establishes a WIFI connection with your device followed by an internet connection for the live feed

The thing I noticed right away with this camera was its size which is big and bulky, so if you were planning to conceal it, its not going to be very easy and second drawback that is kind of a
deal-breaker for me is that it needs a constant electricity and wifi connection to work.

Hardware, it comes with screws and mounting plate and can be mounted anywhere.

Software, is ‘iSecurity+’ app from either appstore or playstore, the software is easy to manouever but certainly not the best.
You need to register for an account which is fairly simple. The app will guide you through the setup and after that it establishes live connection right away

    Camera settings –
There are multiple options built in to the camera settings such as motion sensor and the level of detection, I would advise to keep it at about 80% as at 100% it sometimes give false positives
The camera comes with free 1 day worth of cloud storage so would definitely recommend using that option
One setting which is a great addition and the one you wouldn’t expect is wifi range extender, the wifi range extender doesn’t only work but delivers a great performance

    Viewing the live feed –
There is a considerable lag sometimes as long as 5 sec in the live feed
The app allows you to take snapshots and recording, the actual recording is not affected by the lag and responds to the controls in the app
You can move the camera by swiping the screen left, right, top or bottom and you will get a good response
The camera doesn’t go 360 deg by which i mean after i kept turning it right, it stopped after reaching a fixed spot so I had to swipe left all the way back to view that particular area
Audio recording is pretty good and you can clearly hear anybody talking within the room
The speaker functionality is also present and responds pretty well when you press the mic button, it has a loud booming voice to it
The motion detector is a good functionality and records approx 13 – 28 sec of video as soon as any motion is detected, you will also get a notification on your smartphone

To conclude this is a good sturdy product, but its usage is limited in my view.

I wanted to wait a bit to give this camera a good through going over. So far this camera has performed great! It was extreamly easy to set up,looks great and does not effect my network in the slightest..the PTZ control is spot on as well as the microphone and listening capabilties. It also brings the piece of mind of not just being able to hear the baby but also to see the baby. Several of my relatives have expressed interest in buying one and I recommend it.

The delivery of this camera was quick. The product was easy to set-up. Great color and night vision video clarity. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the plans listed for purchase on the iSecurity+ website, do not have any descriptions.

The app is not flawless and i had to restart the device the device to connect to the internet setup correctly. However once I got it installed, the camera works great. It is easy to view on my phone or in my browser and the 1 day cloud storage is great. There is a saved event any time there is movement. The night vision is perfect. The audio is decent enough for the produt but I won’t be streaming audio quality music at any point.

The 1 day storage is likely enough but I may upgrade at some point.

The camera can be unplugged and moved to anywhere within distance of the wifi it was connected to.

The movement from side to side is very hard to control and not particularly responsive, I almost cannot get the tilt up and down to work. but it does work. the zoom is not as hard.

    Hardware:
The camera takes video in 1280×720 resolution with infrared LEDs to supplement lighting in dark situations. I noticed after unboxing there were a few light scuffs in the tinted plastic surrounding the infrared LEDs. Video quality is good in both bright and low-light situations but I feel like it’s not as sharp as it could be considering the resolution.
The power cord is about 12 feet long which should be long enough for most home applications.
The camera is easy to install physically. It comes with a bracket, mounting screws and drywall shunts so you can support the device without needing to find studs behind your wall. This would be sufficient for most users as you probably won’t be fiddling with the camera much after the install.

Setting up the Kodak CFH-V15 was fairly straight forward:
Plugin in the camera and give it a minute to fully boot up, look for the alternating green and orange LEDs on the base to let you know it’s ready to be paired to a WiFi network.
I would suggest downloading the iSecurity+ app to your phone before you continue the setup since it is needed to pair the camera to your wireless network.
Once you have the app installed, open the WIFI setting in your phone’s menu and connect to the WiFi network that corresponds to the camera’s model number (For example: CFH-V15****). Open the iSecurity+ app and from this point forward the app will guide you through the rest of the setup process. I did run into a minor issue where I needed to reboot the camera and restart the app before it would connect to my WiFi network.

    Software and Functionality:
The software looks slightly unpolished and options are not clearly labeled or documented in the instruction manual. The camera includes 24 hours of cloud storage that will store both the 2 minute recordings you can initialize manually from your phone along with the automatically recorded events that are stored when the camera detects motion. It’s not very clear at first how the recording feature works and what is being saved to the cloud. It’s disappointing that you cannot have a continuously recording 24 loop and only motion detection events are saved by the software.
Video files will be deleted automatically from the cloud after one day unless you pay a monthly fee to have the storage time increased. You can download the clips before they are deleted to your computer by logging into the iSecurity+ website.
You can zoom in using the app on your phone with the typical pinching gesture. It’s worth mentioning that it is digital zoom not a zoom lens so you will lose detail when the image is expanded.
This camera would be best suited to an application where you are trying to monitor a specific spot in your front yard or similar large area. The field of vision is too narrow to be effective in a smaller space unless you were focusing on one spot in particular such as a baby’s crib.
The two way audio function is nice and would be potentially useful to greet unknown suspicious people at your front door or maybe to sooth a crying baby.

    Pros:
    – Fairly easy to setup
    – Good picture quality
    – Quiet pan and tilt motors
    – Functions as a WiFi extender
    Cons:
    – Software is bare-bones and not very user friendly in places
    – Documentation on how to use the software and cloud storage is inadequate
    – Panning and tilting the camera can be frustrating
    – Video quality could be better for the price.
    – Needed to reboot the hardware before it would connect with my WiFi

Camera was pretty easy to setup. Connected easily to WIFI network and android phone app works well. The ability to zoom was straightforward, took a bit of touch to get use to the pan and tilt functions. Great features! Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture relayed on the phone. The infrared works well to. Think this is a good camera for what i need.

This product works great for the price. I wish that the night vision had a sensitivity setting, because it turns to “night mode” too easily, when it’s still quite bright. I’ve had to disable the night-mode permanently.

Otherwise, the video and sound are good, not great, but very acceptable for the price of this product. The free 1-day cloud storage is really nice, and makes a lot of sense if you plan to use this as a security camera (if video was stored internally, there’s no reason a thief couldn’t take the whole camera to evade being recorded).

Kodak CFH V-15 video monitor gives you a high definition video (720P). The package includes the monitor (camera), adapter, mounting unit and quick installation guide. These are the few things I have to talk about after using it for few days.
    Pros-
    – Setup is easy, took me few minutes to do it
    – Image quality is sharp, camera can be zoomed in too
    – Doesn’t make sound when camera head rotates
    – Can view live images almost anywhere with an internet connection on your phone or notebook
    – Very portable
    – Can be wall mounted (wall mounting kit is included with the camera), cord is long enough too (would probably not need a cord extender)
    – Has motion detector with a brief recording to capture the motion
    – Night vision
    – The camera motion is easy to manipulate with finger swipes on the “iSecurity +” app screen (can be downloaded either on iOS / android)
    – Can click pictures if you want
    – Good sound quality
    – I recommend it for kids room, especially when sleeping/ night; pet cam
    – Wi-Fi range extender is available which is a great if your modem is far from the camera
    – Two way audio feature is available which is nice
    – 24 hour free live storage- can be upgraded after purchase

    Cons-
    – Runs on electricity, if you unplug the device or the circuit breaks in your house, the camera will stop working and needs to be rebooted (biggest concern for me)
    – Runs on Wi-Fi, if no Wi-Fi network is present it will not work
    – Big and bulky therefore cannot be used as a spy camera.
    – The camera head doesn’t move 360 degrees, hence the camera head has to rotate all the way 350 degrees to get to the original, is time consuming
    – Considerable time lag seen on the live video
    – Wish it worked on battery too so that if unplugged, it would still record

It is a great product for use at home especially to keep a watch on kids and pets. Can be used to talk and calm down the kids at home if needed and also a wonderful product to keep a watch at night outside the house. Overall I liked the product, the only concern for me is that it runs on electricity and can be unplugged to stop the recording.

I recently purchased the Kodak CFH-V15 security camera and I must say that I am extremely impressed with this security camera. The camera was really easy to set up and pair to my Android phone, which took less than 5 minutes to set up and have running. I am very impressed with the motion detection. My camera was catching bugs flying through the air at night in complete darkness! After playing with the settings, I was able to adjust the sensitivity to be exactly how I wanted it. I use this camera for my backyard, and I am going to purchase another one for the front. 10/10 would recommend to others.

Having configured many IP cameras, I was blown away by how easy Kodak made it to stream from this IP camera remotely. Most people don’t realize it, but a lot goes on in the background in terms of networking when you have to access your home network from the outside. There was no port forwarding, static IPs, or dynamic DNS involved during installation. The app made the setup as easy as signing up for a Facebook account. However, because this camera seems to be targeted at non-technical users, it is also missing a lot of customization options for advanced users.

    PROS:
-Image quality is good for both night (IR) and day
    -Pan, tilt, zoom functionality
-Alarm recording detection for objects and/or people
-Beta option to act as a wireless range extender (however, the amount of bandwidth needed for video streaming would likely be too high for the extender to support multiple cameras)
-PTZ is much quieter than Foscam’s (would be a good baby monitor), build quality is also better.
-Mounting bracket for bottom of the camera also tucks away power wire.
    -2-way audio
-Push notifications for alarms via the app

    CONS:
-Unable to set motion detection grid size
-Price makes it more expensive than Foscam V2 models, which have a lot more options.
-Limited to a subscription based alarm recording, no option for own FTP server/local recording. Cloud storage plans are very steep for low-incidents alarms such as home security.
-No streaming/media server compatibility for at home viewing(non-mobile).
-App has no support for other cameras – camera is also not supported by others such as TinyCam app; basically means you can’t mix Kodak cameras with any other brands if you want to use a single software for management.
-Lack of customization options means no image quality settings, adjustable clip times, patrolling, preset views, etc.

Overall, this camera is a solid unit for anyone needing a camera for monitoring purposes. The quick setup and ease of use insures that you won’t be spending a lot of time for setup and maintenance!

Over the past couple of years, IP cameras have been gaining popularity. Everyone seems to get the need for a small, connected camera for use to watch kids, pets or even for basic home security. However, the biggest disconnect with these units are definitely in the software department, as setting one up requires knowledge of port forwarding, external-facing IPs and oftentimes third-party apps to actually do what most people want them to do: park a camera somewhere in their house, and monitor them remotely on their phones.

    INITIAL SETUP
This Kodak CFH-V15 I purchased brings with it not only the familiar Kodak brand but also a more user-friendly take on the IP camera. Instead of a self-contained unit that feeds into a web server, the CFH-V15 is more of a “cloud” camera that simply speaks to a service called iSecurity+. Since all of the camera’s functions happen in the “cloud,” this can be a concern to some, which I’ll detail below.

Setting up the camera could not be any more painless: simply plug it in, fire up the included iSecurity App, and go through the registration/camera setup steps. No more fiddling around with internal web pages or router settings. As soon as you have the camera talk to your own WiFi network (only 2.4GHz networks seem to be supported, which is unfortunate), the camera is completely set up. I was a little surprised at how well it worked, and immediately tried accessing the camera via my LTE connection instead of internally via WiFI. It worked. The app can store up to day’s worth of video, or one can subscribe for more storage/coverage. For my purposes the free tier/subscription was fine. There’s other neat features such as motion detection and notifications which work well but can get annoying to keep up with, so I turned them off.

    THE CAMERA
Image quality overall is fine and the camera produces a nice 720p HD video feed, certainly not even to the quality of most phone cameras, but acceptable enough. The camera tends to be a little overexposed, which I’m hoping Kodak fixes eventually with a firmware update. Moreover, night vision kicked in way too early for my liking – it doesn’t get dark over here in California before 7pm, so I was puzzled why the afternoon overcast caused the camera to freak out and put itself in night vision mode. That being said, I’m willing to forgive the little piddly CMOS sensor that tends to come in these units for these faults. I’m more patient than others, and these seem to be software rather than hardware issues.

    CONCERNS
My biggest concern with this solution is the availability and willingness of the iSecurity+ folks to actually improve on their app and pay their hosting bill. Since technically nothing is stored or served out of the camera, I could only hope that the iSecurity company actually sticks around for the next couple of years to support the app. The fact that their app still does not support the higher resolution of my iPhone 6 does not inspire confidence, but regardless that does not speak against the quality of the app itself, which does work as it’s intended.

    SUMMARY
To close: this is a great camera for the average homeowner or parent—power users may find it a little limiting, but personally I’m in the middle where I just want to drop a camera in the house and be done with it. I can see these being very good alternatives to most other brands, simply because you do not need a network engineering degree to run them outside your house!

I set the Kodak CFH-V15 up in one of the upper corners of my living room. This is where I keep my dogs while I am away at work. The Kodak CFH-V15 makes it easy to see what they are up to while I am away. The 2 way communication works well to get their attention when it looks like they will, or are doing something naughty.

One of the only downsides is that you would have to pay for online space if you want to have it record video like a normal security camera on a continual basis.

I have not used the wifi extender option as I do not need it in my house where the Kodak CFH-V15 is located.

    Un-boxing:
–It is in a standard and nice fashion packaged.
–It is easy to open and take out.

    Setup:
–I am a very handy person, although this does not require me to be.
–The directions are easy to follow and I had it running in 5 minutes and mounted to the ceiling in 10.
–It can either be set on a table/bookcase or screwed to the wall/ceiling.
–It includes all screws and mounting hardware.

    Performance:
–The quality/definition of the camera is good in day/light and fine at night/no-light situations. It does not look quite as good and the photos on the product page but is close.
–This works well with my Samsung and Sony Android smart phones.

    Other things to note:
–This camera is not waterproof and should not be mounted outdoors. (As noted in the manual.)
–The video quality will be affected by how fast your wifi and internet connection are.
–This has to be near a wall plug to get power.
–This does not have an Ethernet port on it and can not be powered with POE. It is WiFi only.

Amazing camera with a ton of cool features! Great for security, staying connected with family, and messing with your pets.

I leave really early for work and by installing this cam, I can now watch my 3 yr old son eat his breakfast in the morning. I even get to have a quick conversation with him and mom via the talk function.

The setup was pretty easy and I like that I can watch from my phone or laptop. The camera is quiet, responsive, and the image quality is better than expected. The night vision works well too.

It’s a lot of fun and incredibly useful.

This camera is easy to setup. If you understand the concept of Wifi connectivity well, and are familiar with smartphones and apps, you should have no problems getting it up and going.

The camera has some features that aren’t always found on similar units. Among them are the pan and tilt feature, the ability to speak to and listen to someone within range of the camera, and very importantly, the ability to monitor the camera from outside your home. In comparison, I also have an 8-camera DVR system that I’ve used for several years. In order to monitor the DVR system remotely, I had to setup a domain name and DDNS, as well as open certain ports on my internet gateway. This took several hours of work and testing before it was successful. But for this camera, none of that was necessary. It appears to communicate with a web server, and you use your smartphone app to connect to that web server and perform all functions through it.

    About the features…
    – The pan and tilt function is nice, but is also cumbersome. You drag your finger across the screen to move left, right, up, or down. Each drag of the finger moves the camera slightly. You must repeat several times until the view reaches the point of your desire. Once it reaches a certain point, you must go back the other direction (you cannot continue past 350 degrees). While I can understand why this limitation exists, it takes a lot of time to go back the other direction. Although pan-up seems to have enough range, pan-down is very limited due the position of the base. So if you have the camera sitting high, such as on a book shelf, there is limited range of direction directly below the camera. If you are mounting the camera upside down on a ceiling, this range should not affect you at all, because up/down directions are now inverted.
    – The microphone and audio features are nice. You can tap a button on your phone and speak to someone within range of the camera. There is some delay, so it isn’t something you might use often, but it is still neat and may be valuable to some people, based on the how you need to use the camera. The first camera I received had a bad microphone, but the replacement unit works well.
    – I am pleased with the quality of the picture. It has good color clarity during daylight hours, and good black/white quality when night vision is activated. You have the option to use the automatic function to allow the camera to switch between the two modes automatically. My first camera also had issues returning to color mode during daytime light, but the replacement camera seems to adjust between the two modes much better.
    – I primarily use an iPhone, and did not test the app with an Android. For the iPhone, you can choose to receive motion alerts via the Notifications settings, so that when motion triggers a recording event, you receive a pop-up on your phone. I chose to use banner notifications. Once a notification is received, you can swipe down, tap a motion event, and proceed to view recorded video of the event. You have the ability to view any event which occurred in the past 24 hours or less. If you want to be able to view content older than 24 hours, you must pay a monthly subscription fee. In my opinion, this monthly fee is expensive, especially if you have multiple cameras, because from what I can tell, the fee would be per camera, not per user account. If you have several cameras, you can link all of them to a single user account, so that you can select each one to view live video at any time. I was also able to setup the account on two iPhones at the same time, allowing alerts to be sent to both phones, so if you have a spouse, child, etc., it looks like all of you can use the same account on your phones.

While a multi-camera system with DVR would be more cost-efficient than purchasing several of these cameras, this camera offers fast setup and remote-access when away from home. A DVR type system typically offers more customizable features, and lower cost if considering the monthly fee to access more than 24 hours of events/recordings. However, a DVR system typically keeps all recordings on-site, which might not meet your needs if there is concern about the physical security of the DVR itself.

If your goal is two have only one or two cameras, and easy setup, this seems to be a good choice. If you need multiple cameras, you might want to consider a multi-camera DVR system, but consider that it is generally more difficult to setup.

Remember that this is an internet-connected device, and consider privacy when choosing a location and use for it. Should the camera be compromised across the internet (the vendor is hacked, your account is hacked, or someone intercepts and decodes the Wifi transmissions from the camera itself), anyone can see or hear what is occurring in the vicinity of the camera. So placing it inside your home may not be desirable. But if using it outside the home, careful placement is needed to ensure rain or direct intense sunlight will not damage the unit.

    PROs:
    Wireless network connectivity
    Quick, easy setup
    Picture quality
    Pan and tilt
    Microphone and speaker
    Remote monitoring
    Event notifications
    24-hour cloud storage
Decent price for a single-camera system

    CONs:
    Pan and tilt is cumbersome
Expensive if you went multiple cameras
Cloud storage fees for more than 24 hours, and other features can be pricey
Availability of a power source where you choose to mount the camera might be an issue.

The camera has a nice quality and easy to setup. You just need to following instruction and it’s ready to use. The video quality is pretty good, clear during the day and night vision is good as well. You can use the app from App Store or Android Market to control the camera. The app is little bit confuse to use and it need to be upgraded badly because there is 1-2 seconds lagging when you want to rotate it. App design is too old, need new design for ios 8/9.

I wish there is a setting option that will limit or block access to the camera from certain IP or phone number. I’m not a fan of knowing I can access to the camera from cloud.

Remarkable camera! It worked really well… FOR JUST OVER TWO DAYS BEYOND THE ELIGIBLE RETURN DATE!! Then it decided to permanently retire. ‘No longer wants to connect to the internet. ‘Spent way-way too many hours trying to get it to work again. One of THE most disappointing Amazon purchases EVER.

    PROS:
    – aesthetically pleasing, fits well in house
    – feed quality is very good
    – excellent camera angles
    – dead simple to set up

    CONS:
    – No desktop app (it comes with a mobile app so you can watch the feed, but what if I don’t want to use my phone battery?!?!)
    – changing camera angles takes long time to register

    OVERALL: would definitely recommend.

I’m not the greatest tech person, so I was kinda worried about setting up this camera. It was so easy, a little to easy actually, I didn’t know what to do with myself when I got done so quick, I thought for sure the camera wouldn’t work after being set up that easy. Wrong it works perfect! When I’m at work (I work nights) I can check in on my little girl and watch her sleeping safe and sound.
Love this product, just get it

Coming across this IP camera, I was surprised how easy it was to set up. Most common people may not even use an IP camera. One of my friends actually recommended this to me for my apartment since I need an easy to set up camera! I realized after playing with it for a few days, that it is missing a lot of customization options if you wanted to go in more detail. Overall a decent product for the price!

    Pros:
    -Easy to set up
    -Functionality(pan,tilt, zoom) is awesome
    -Alarm recording detection
-Mounting bracket makes the installation and mounting neat
    -2-way audio
-Image quality is average but for both day and night
    -Good size

    Cons:
-App freezes and does not support any other cameras
-No streaming for at home viewing
    -Lack of customization
-Price for cloud storage is quite steep

Overall, this camera is an okay unit for beginners like me. Super fast set up!

The camera came fast, was packaged well, and was easy to set up. Much like other modern WiFi-joined devices, you plug it in, download the app, and connect to the WiFi network the device broadcasts to start the setup. After joining it to my network I was able to access the camera from my iPhone both locally on my WiFi network and via LTE. One small point of confusion was that the box and the app both advertise a day’s worth of video storage for free, but you also receive an offer for a free year of Amazon cloud storage via email. These do not seem to be linked. It looks like the app/service this camera uses can handle multiple cameras linked to a single account, which is a nice feature. The iSecurity+ service does connect with IFTTT, so it’s possible to trigger automation events via channels, but I would like to see direct access as an option.

For the price I wish there were two additional features:
    – Direct access to the camera to connect to a video stream or capture still images. This would be useful for integration with an existing home automation or IP DVR.
    – Ethernet in addition to WiFi. I don’t think it would take up much additional physical space. I could envision using this camera in locations where WiFi is not available or signal is weak, and a PoE converter could be used to power the camera remotely.

I would recommend this camera to users who are looking for an easy-to-use video monitoring device but do not plan on integrating it into a different/existing system.

    Great camera!

    Pros:
    – Looks great! Cute little guy
    – Covers a lot of angles
    – The set-up was mind-blowingly simple
    – Comes with screws to place it on your wall
    – HD feed quality is great!
    – The 2-way audio speakers are hilarious to me, but it’s a great idea and they work like a charm

    Cons:
    – The app! A little buggy – not much else to say

    Conclusion:
I don’t mind the app’s occasional bugginess so much that it over takes the incredible pros this security camera has to offer. Incredibly pleased with this product, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to feel a little more safe.

This is a Vader looking Sauron to my Saruman. Been using it for around 2 weeks now. Came well packaged and secure (positive reinforcing irony!) and setup couldn’t have been easier. Connected to my wifi (no Ethernet) without any hassle. I have the iSecurity app downloaded on Apple iPhone as well as android LG and Samsung phones (this is not the place to address why I have three phones and setting up interventions) and it was easy to find and connect to the camera, functions much like a Bluetooth discoverable device. Came with a mounting bracket and installed on my ceiling in 15 minutes. Needs a power socket nearBy but the wire is a good length. I use it primarily to keep an eye on my parents who are visiting. This especially makes the two way audio precious for me to yell at my mom when she tries to move things around in my kitchen. But at the same time it’s a big relief to know they are safe and give them instructions for when there is someone at the door. Coming to the actual functionality and quality I have no complaints. Do not expect to stand in front of it for Facebook selfies and DSLR quality pics but for what it’s supposed to do it’s perfect. I believe I get 720p on my phone and though there is slight lag in my stream it doesn’t distort the images or jutter much. I ha e had to restart the camera just once so far when it suddenly froze but I think that was from a power surge in my area which momentarily conked off my router. The pan and tilt are pretty good and functional. I tested the motion sensor out but have turned it off having discovered my folks move around quite a bit. I’m absolutely blown By the night vision and didn’t expect to see crisp feed even in the pitch darkness. I wish there s a way to connect to a hard drive and store the feed for the special incriminating feeds for when dad sneaks pastries from the pantry but the cloud works for me so far on the trial subscription.
All in all I’m very pleased and thinking of buying one as a gift for my siblings.

After purchasing and trying out an Insteon wifi camera, and ultimately returning it out of complete frustration, this Kodak device was a complete breath of fresh air. For starters this device comes with a setup manual (can you believe that the Insteon camera did not even come with a manual, as if everyone who purchases one must just happen to be a security camera technician by trade?). The Kodak camera was a breeze to set up, and was able to be completed entirely by wi-fi (no cables needed). I downloaded the isecurity app from the google play store, registered, and was up in running in no time. I have tested out the camera remotely via my galaxy note 4, and had no issues accessing the video feed. The 2 way audio functions as expected, and the picture is clear and defined in both a lit and dark room. I am deducting one star because my video feed cuts out after a few minutes and needs to be restarted (not sure if this is something I am missing in the settings?). When I am checking the video feed it actually warns me that it may loose the feed in 5 minutes, and it does… I am also deducting the star for the directional control, which while functional, does not feel fluid enough, although the zoom seems fairly responsive.

I’ve used this camera for almost two months now, and it’s worked very reliably! I’ve had no issues with connecting to the camera with my phone! It’s really an amazing piece of hardware! The motions of turning the camera up, down, and side to side are incredibly smooth and quiet. The phone app that connects to the camera has no troubles, and connects to the camera rather quickly! The night vision works incredibly well.

    Issues:
-The cloud storage only stores a couple of seconds when motion is triggered.
-Even if motion sensitivity set to high, I get max 45 seconds a minute of recording.
-The WiFi extender doesn’t work, the phone app says it’s in beta
-Automatic night vision switching on and off doesn’t work at all
-Website is slow to access the camera

I believe this camera has a lot of potential if some software fixes were incorporated! First off, the 1 day cloud storage isn’t what I had in mind. The camera only records and upload feeds if it detects motion in the video called “events” in the phone app. The camera stops recording when the object stops moving. Great idea, expect sometimes the camera will turn on when there’s no motion or the camera doesn’t detect motion from the sides of the viewing area. I feel if something major was happening, I would miss crucial parts because the video recording cuts in and out at random times. I would prefer the camera to record and upload 24/7 so then I could review the video at any second of the day if something happened. I had to dock one star because this makes a terrible security camera. The second star would come from the fact the WiFi extender doesn’t work, and night vision doesn’t automatically switch on and off from the light detecting sensor. I’ve tested the WiFi extender By running Speedtest. With the extender on or off, I got the same results with my laptop right next to the camera. The night vision will always turn on if you set the setting to automatic. Even with direct sunlight, the camera refuses to switch out of night vision mode. I didn’t need the extender feature so I didn’t really care, but I thought I give everyone a heads up who wanted the WiFi extender. The night vision I simply have to manually turn the feature off during the day when I want to view the camera.

What it’s great for: If you have pets or kids at home and you want to just see what they’re up to, this is fantastic! If you want to use this camera to detect crimes, I would not recommend this! For the past two months, I’ve set up the camera near the front door so I can occasionally check on what’s happening outside my house when I’m bored!

The last thing I want to mention is that I have hopes for this camera because the software does get updated! Since the two months, I’ve updated the software at least two times! However despite the two updates, nothing has really improved! So I’m praying that after I post this review the issues will get sorted out in the next updates! 🙂

Received the Kodak CFH-V15 and found the camera very easy to setup. Instructions were clear, concise and easy to follow. Camera setup and connection to WIFI took only one attempt. The camera itself is nice and compact with a long power cord, which is great if you plan on putting your camera 3ft+ away from the outlet. The camera was incredibly quiet and rotates very quickly. Use of the phone app was convenient and setup easily. Camera rotates very quietly and at a quick speed. Day time image is clear and the audio features are cleared than other cameras i have seen.

    Cons:
Unfortunately I found others cameras in the same price range to be slightly better. This camera rotates quickly, but only rotates to set points. I cannot make minor changes to the direction it is facing. Therefore, you cannot choose a specific point where you want the camera centered unless you move the camera itself. I wish i could tap one direction on my phone app and see a minor change in camera position instead of a preset amount of rotation which moves further than I would prefer.

Night vision kicks on way too soon. The camera sits in my living room and I find that the night vision comes on even when there is ample lighting. This is an issue because it takes away quality and color from images.

Camera will not tilt downward. I keep the camera on the edge of a counter. IF I am trying to view something at the base of the counter, I cannot see it and I cannot angle the camera to look down. It’s line of sight is straight out –> and then you can rotate the camera upward. You cannot tilt the camera angle downward at all.

App is slow. Simply said, it takes a while for the app to load and interact with. There is room for improvement on the software side.

Conclusion: Camera is nice, but you can do better for the same price.

I can’t begin to say what a huge difference this camera has made. We use it to keep an eye and ear on our new rescue pup while she is in her crate. We weren’t sure if she was barking while we were away, and this allows us to get alerts when she is moving around and talk her down if she is getting antsy. It was easy to set up and is easy to use from phone and computer. The picture and audio quality are incredible. The only thing I wish is that it could give alerts just for sounds, not for motion, as we are really just wanting to know if the dog is barking. Otherwise, it fits our purposes perfectly.

Great device for the price. Set up was very easy, took about 5 minutes. I set the motion sensitivity to the lowest setting to avoid getting false hits. The picture is crystal clear. The main reason I bought this vs. some of the others out there is the free cloud storage.

Received promptly, very easy to put together and setup. Picture at times appears pixelated and requires a reboot. There is a microphone and speaker which is nice.

    First the good:
The camera is quality hardware. I have an older Foscam 8910W and this camera’s image quality blows it away in all respects. It has much better resolution and much better dynamic range (important if your subject will be shaded by your patio and there is a sunlit background). See the two images I’ve included to compare. I labelled the Foscam image, but even without you’ll know easily which is which. Also, the motors that it uses to rotate the camera direction are very smooth and very quiet.

You can access the camera via a web browser or through the iSecurity app available on iPhone and Android (sorry Windows Phone users). It seems that you must have one of the phones to be able to set up the camera from the beginning, since there are no alternate instructions.

The camera connects exclusively to this iSecurity service, but the free option is limited to 24 hours of event recording. If you want longer than that, you’ll have to pay a monthly fee, starting at $10 a month for 14 days of storage. The service is really nice in that it was easy to set up, easy to use, and the video recording quality is really good.

    The not as good:
The only knock I have against the Kodak vs my old Foscam is that the Foscam offered a myriad of options for storing recordings. I have a small NAS that I configured the Foscam to drop images into. Setting this up was a pain, however, even for a techie like me, and it’s understandable why Kodak didn’t offer this because the vast majority of people wouldn’t use it. My with the Foscam concern also was that if my house were to be burglarized, the thieves would make off with my NAS and I would have nothing to look at all. This isn’t a problem with this Kodak because everything is recorded in the cloud. Also, to access the Foscam remotely required forwarding ports and getting DDNS to work properly, which I don’t see many people doing.

In sum, this camera has quality hardware and a free service to record events in the cloud. Some flexibility on where the videos can get stored would have been nice, but it’s an understandable omission.

BONUS: There is an option for this to function as a wifi extender!? Pretty nice addition!

The Kodak CFH-V15 Wi-Fi camera is a security camera that makes promises but really doesn’t deliver a finished product. The best word to describe it is unpolished. It’s reasonably easy to use, reasonably priced and reasonably functional. It really shows its lack of maturity with two critical failures- its buggy auto night mode and its buggy app.

Out of the box, the camera came with the basics. The camera, a plate and screws for wall mounting, an instruction booklet and a power adaptor. It’s packaged OK too, if you’re the type of person who cares about that. Setup was pretty easy, but it does require you to use an iOS/android device.

The quality of the camera is perfectly acceptable. You aren’t going to be able to make out how many wrinkles your mailman has, but you will be able to make out a face and what’s happening. It is definitely not bad at all. It has pan and tilt features that allow for you to look around while live viewing, which can be useful, but the tilt is quite limited and does not allow you to point the camera downwards, meaning I could not see my dog when I placed the camera on my mantle. Another quirk I noticed was that the camera, when in automatic night mode, kept switching to night mode in the middle of the day. This was very annoying and the only way to remedy this is to turn night mode off altogether (instead of offering an option to set up a night mode schedule). The white balance of the camera was also an issue, often causing pictures to be washed out or completely unrecognizable. I found this to be a huge issue, especially for a security camera. Another thing I found a bit disappointing was the camera’s lack of an Ethernet port for a wired connection or POE. This, in my opinion, is another feature that is very useful on a security camera.

My biggest peeve with the camera, however, was the app/website. When I first set it up on my iPhone, it took 6 tries to even make an account. After that, I had to constantly restart the app because it would get hung up. It would forget my password when I set it to ‘remember’, not save camera settings, not register pan/tilts and VERY often wouldn’t even be able to find the camera! And it’s not like I’m using an old iPhone either, I am using a brand new 6s Plus and my router is state of the art. These issues also came about on my 5s, HTC M8 and even on my laptop. I constantly found myself unable to use the camera because it would keep on loading for hours. The camera does not have a lot of software features/settings either, like motion detection zones which I would expect on a camera in this segment. It has basic notifications for motion, but ‘smart notifications’ are $3 per month, which just doesn’t feel right. It has Free 1-day storage, which some cameras don’t, but if you want to store events for more than one day (which most will), it costs $10/month for 14 days and $20/month for 30 days. This, again, was a disappointment, and the lack of a way to store events locally/on a NAS is a bit disheartening.

That isn’t to say the software doesn’t have its good moments, though. There is a two-way communication function which is really nice if you use this as a baby/dog monitor that works consistently. The mic and speaker on the camera though, are nothing to write home about. There are also a few neat features like sharing, to share the camera view with friends/family. The streaming is very close to real time when it works, and the free, yet limited storage and notification services work well. It also has an interesting wi-fi extender/repeater function.

All in all, this camera feels like it is a victim of a poorly made app. The camera on its own is pretty solid, with some distinctive features for its price bracket, like pan/tilt. It also takes pretty great pictures and the video is not too shabby as long as it’s not stuck in night mode. I like this camera as an all-in-one solution, but would not recommend it for an elaborate security system for a large home.

I was looking for a simple WiFi camera that I could use to provide some security in my college housing, and came across this camera. I especially liked how it included free one-day cloud storage, and figured I would be getting something very similar to a Dropcam for about half the price. While the camera does do what it promises to do, there were a number of inconsistencies and incompatibilites that has resulted in me not being able to use the camera for my original intended purpose. Also, as this is not made clear in the product description: this camera is NOT a Kodak product. A company called Tend Insights, operating under the names “Connected Family Home” and “iSecurity+”, is selling rebranded versions of their cameras under several licensed brand names, which is imporant to note because you are essentially granting the camera maker 24/7 live access to your home with these types of cloud connected camera products.

Some of the positive aspects of the camera include:
    * Web-based camera viewer available on the iSecurity+ website
    * Ability to share camera with other users (so you could share the camera with your family)
    * Android/iPhone apps with live viewing and recording
    * Remote one-click firmware update – my camera arrived with an outdated firmware version, but I only had to click one button on my dashboard and the software update was automatically pushed down to the camera
    * Push-to-talk – you can talk from anywhere with an Internet connection and your voice will play out of the camera’s speaker almost immediately
    * WiFi Range Extender built-in – in the app, you can configure the camera to be a range extender for the WiFi network it was configured with
    * Automatic switching between day and night vision

Some of the negative aspects of this camera include:
    * Difficult to set up – it took several attempts to get the camera to connect to any WiFi network at all, and getting the setup prompt in the app required me to force close and reopen the app a few times
    * Does not support WPA2-EAP secured networks – my university’s secured wireless network (like many businesses) has enterprise encryption, which this camera doesn’t support
    * Does not support MAC-filtered networks – after seeing that it did not support WPA2-EAP, I attempted to whitelist its MAC address on the unsecured wireless network, but the connection just kept timing out
    * Requires the use of the Android/iPhone app to set up [1]
    * Sharing is on by default – when I logged in to my dashboard for the first time, I saw that sharing was enabled By default. The camera wasn’t shared with anyone, but I would rather see that be an opt-in feature
    * Low resolution video – see the attached photos for image quality. Overall, I was unimpressed for a camera marketed as “HD” – this looks more like SVGA resolution.
    * Streaming audio is off by several minutes, if it works at all – most of the time, the live streaming audio from the camera did not work at all. For the few moments that it did, the audio feed was delayed By a good five minutes.
    * Push-to-talk is only available in the mobile apps – you can only use the push-to-talk feature in the mobile apps, not on the website
    * Apps do not have camera motion controls – you can only control the position of the camera from the website, not from the mobile app
    * Website is a default Flowplayer with watermarks – this is getting nitpicky, but seriously? Use an HTML5 video player, or at least get rid of the watermark.
    * “Native” video player plugin available, but not compatible with Chrome – while I was inspecting the video player, I noticed that the page was coded to offer a download of a proprietary video plugin, but this was not actually offered to me in Chrome (again, just use an HTML5 player)

[1] Upon further investigation, you can connect to setup network on your computer or any device with a web browser and navigate to the following URL to complete the setup process (username and password are both “admin”): 10.68.68.22/apcam/for-android/CamPreview.asp?SeedonkServerIp=server.seedonk.com&TZ=America/New_York&LanguageId=00

Overall, while the camera does work and the hardware seems pretty good, the software just isn’t mature enough for me to recommend this product. I would look elsewhere for a WiFi camera.

The camera itself is really good. The picture quality is good, it switches from night vision to regular nicely etc. The part that isn’t so good is the app that runs it. I use it on an ipod touch. The picture quality on it is good. There is a slight delay from when you move the camera on the app to when the camera actually moves. One major issue I have with the app is when I move the camera up or to the side I often get errors saying the camera is tilted up or tilted to the left all the way when it is not. Sometimes I cannot get the video feed to come up at all on my ipod. When I am at work I log into the web site to monitor the camera. When the app on the ipod says I cannot move the camera any further the web site will let me. But there is a bigger delay on the web site. When you click left once it takes from 5 to 20 seconds before the camera actually moves so you have to be careful not to click too many times at once. Also the delay in the video feed on the web site and the app makes it difficult to use the talk back feature. You can’t tell if they hear you for quite a few seconds after you actually talk. Another annoying point of the web site is it kicks me off all the time. I want to stay logged into the camera while I am at work. But you have to move something on the web site every couple of minutes or you get logged off, and if you get a movement notification you have to log back in first which makes everything even more delayed. And sometimes if I do click something on the web site, like clicking to stored videos and back to live feed, it is like it doesn’t register I did anything and kicks me off for time anyway.

We have 2 of these and use it as additional home security device.

Pros: Great quality, very clear video and it stays good even at night.
Motion detector works very well and you can choose 5 levels of sensitivity to detect object.
You do not need to choose an additional paid plan since motion detection notification as well as 1 day recording comes free.
But if you use smart detection, their algorithm marks the motion detection events as ‘objects’ or ‘people’ there by making it much easier to filter and view.
Would definitely be worth if you are going on a vacation and want to monitor your home.

350 degree view works seamlessly well.
Super easy to change view, just by moving your fingers on the phone that rotates the camera.

Integrated very well with IFTTT. You can send yourself notifications if a person is detect on camera (In case you use it to point outside the house).
Or enable motion detection while leaving home and turn it off when back home.

App is easy to use, you can even provide feedback like indicating if a person or object was correctly identified and help improve their algorithm.
Their help and support is quick.

What i love the most is 2 way communication, although it is more like a walkie talkie. But you can view and speak to the person on the other side of the room. I use it to talk to my toddlers from office sometimes and they love it.

Cons: Software gets stuck some time and camera has to be unplugged.
Sometimes randomly the camera stops responding to your command to rotate.
Some items like viewing saved index can be made much clearer as to how they are accessed on the app.
Audio works more like a walkie talkie so one channel at a time.

Compares very nicely to other competitors like drop cam.
Quality is great and you can do away from paying the monthly cloud services and still depend on it and use it either as a home security camera or monitor. Cloud based plans as better priced compared to competitors.
    Would surely recommend it

Although skeptical at first, I LOVE this camera. I wasn’t aware that Kodak made wireless video monitors/cameras. I read several good reviews and decided to give it a shot. The setup was awesome. There was a step-By -step video how to set it up using your smartphone. It couldn’t have been easier. I setup the camera in my daughter’s room to monitor her since she just went from a crib to big girl bed. The functions and features are great. I like the fact that I can listen to what is going on and even speak through it if needed from my phone. Another nice feature is the ability to move the camera left, right, up, and down. That feature came in handy a few times when my daughter got out of bed which was out of the original view. Camera quality is excellent, even when night vision is on and the lights are out. Finally, I really like that I can view it from anywhere, even when I’m not at home. It’s easy to see that Kodak spent some time on this camera and made one of the best on the market.

Pretty good. Susceptible to false alarms when windows or mirrors are in the view. Also, skylights cause shadows that move in the room which also triggers false alarms. Easy setup.

I have been using this camera for about one month. Well, here are my thoughts on this camera.

    Pros:
Design – I was taught never to judge someone on their looks, but honestly I was attracted by its Darth Vader and minion like shape (sorry Dad). I’ll buy another yellow one if available:)
Video – it’s HD, and it’s sharp and clear. It also has night vision, not super far, but enough if you use it to monitor the surroundings of your house, like I do.
Mechanical pan and tilt – the coolest feature! It rotates in almost 360 degrees (it covers 360 degrees since the camera’s field of view is pretty wide), and tilts up to the very top. It doesn’t tilt down much, so you might not be able to see all angles if it’s placed on a tall table. It’s not a problem to me because I have it mounted in the ceiling of my front porch.
Motion capture and free cloud storage – it detects motion with sensitivity you choose. I played around with it to find that medium was the right sensitivity for me. What makes this camera an even better deal is, it offers free cloud storage! All other surveillance cameras I browsed charge hundreds of bucks each year. Be aware though that the storage is only one day, that is, you can only see motions captured during the past 24 hours. However, that is good enough to me.

    Cons:
App – I’m talking about the Android app only since I don’t have an iPhone. It takes time to sign in every time I open the app. Also I have seen it crash occasionally, not intolerable, but annoying.
Video – yes, I listed it in the pros, but it has its own weaknesses. First, the video lags behind by about 2 seconds after it’s been played for a while. Second, most of the time video launches within 2 or 3 seconds after I click the camera, but sometimes it takes much longer (about 10 seconds).

These set up easily. They have a wonderful picture using a wifi connection. I now own several.

There is a slight delay with the picture on the internet but it is what you would expect. You can talk through the camera and listen.

The isecurity+ network they use is easy to deal with. You can buy days and days of storage but I use the free 1-day storage option. That being said- it only saves to the cloud and doesn’t use a memory chip. I can see where some people may not like that. I personally do like that because I didn’t have to buy an additional chip.

As you would expect from Kodak– they are worth the extra money. I have tried several different brands and I think this brand is worth the money.

So I use this to make sure my dog walker is actually walking my dog for a reasonably similar time that I pay him for. The camera sits near the entry and when my dog’s favorite employee enters, an alert is triggered to my phone. I can then review the video to see if it really is him or my cat or dog passing By the camera. Even with noise, it is fairly easy to determine the exact time he comes and goes.

Setup was easy, video quality is good even in darkness. Access through web browser or Android App has worked perfectly, and the free storage for a day is great. Paid options exist for longer term storage and with better recognition of humans entering and exiting.

Given my use case and the price it was a no-brainer.

2 way communication, eh not the best

    cons
    – Make sure and plug in before hooking up to the mounting plate (I must have missed this in the steps and then couldnt find a plug)
    – The up down viewing angle leaves much to be desired
    – Red IR lights seem to be on all the time, and are these supposed to be visible??

I also love that they can simply be unplugged, moved, then plugged in again and it reconnects automatically.

Our two units might be a bandwidth hog, but we like the extended range they provide (activated in settings) stretching our network all the way to the basement.

    I would buy them again.

I’m still trying to figure this thing out. It was moderately easy to install the app and all that. What’s strange is the way it displays and moves. Lacking appropriate tools to properly install it, I mounted mine on some cardboard cat scratchers in a rush before a business trip. The picture is upside-down on the iPad app and the rotation is really weird and counter-intuitive. It’s also slow to rotate, though the delay isn’t as bad as my cheaper camera. And when I was on my business trip, it was great to be able to talk to my cats through the camera after the bar closed and everyone else went to bed like normal people.

The two-way audio is fun. That’s where this one shines. I especially like to use it when I am home and in the same room because the echo entertains me.

The app sucks. On the app for my other camera, it gives the option to switch to day/night view manually since the autodetect on the camera doesn’t always work right. On this one, it seems like the camera lives in black and white only mode and I can’t seem to figure out how to manually change it from black and white to having color. I wish they would give more options for adjusting that and for changing how it displays so you could have the choice to have it automatically rotate so I don’t have to keep flipping my iPad around.

Also, about the way it rotates. It doesn’t seem to go all the way around the room in one fluid motion but instead you have to go up/down to get it to go side to side all the way, since it won’t go the full amount from side-to-side. It seems to be unable to keep rotating in the middle of the scope. I’m not sure if that makes sense but it just makes it a little harder to navigate the whole room.

Solid camera with a lot of pros and great for the price. I like the idea that it saves for a day in the cloud, although I’ve never tried to access that. That’s not doable through the app. The app gets like 2 stars at best. Still, better than the cheapo baBy monitor I had before this.

Super easy set up. Literally up and running in minutes. Makes for a great doggie cam. Has two way audio. Easy to operate.

Easy to connect to wireless router. You don’t need to plug a CAT 5 cable into the camera and then into the router you are going to use during the set up process like a lot of the other brands (that I returned). Setup is done wirelessly. As long as you have a wireless access code for the router you are connecting to you are good to go. This might not seem like a big deal but it is if you are an apartment that dweller and don’t have easy physical access to the router.

Decent price. Manual that isn’t written in Changlish. I’d buy another one.

This is a nice unit. It slows down your internet if you are trying to do other things online, but other than that, it’s a very nice unit. For outside nighttime monitoring I recommend you get some kind of night vision lighting, or keep the area well lit with regular lighting. I am going to go with night vision lighting of some sort, being respectful of my neighbors. It all depends on where and what you are using this unit for. But it works perfectly for me and what I want it for. My outdoor solar lights have a habit of disappearing during the summertime, and I want to see who is doing it. I caught the neighborhood kids pushing around another child, and came out to tell them to leave the kid alone. Showed them that I had the yard monitored and that’s how I knew what they were doing. If it’s these kids that are doing the solar light stealing, I’ll either catch them, or them knowing the yard is monitored, prevent them from walking off with any of my yard decorations. It’s not the cost of the items being taken, it’s the principle. This unit will end up paying for itself in the long run for me, By not having to continually replace solar lights or yard decorations.

Good camera with good image and sound quality with remote ptz, and free one day recording.
The downside: is you have to access the camera from a smart phone. Installing the app on your regular every-day smart phone consumes a huge amount of battery life and you end up draining it within half a day. I wish the issue was addressed for the app. Another downside is not being able to set up motion sensing zones on the camera image, as well as setting up different recording times for specific days. Not being able to access this at least in my experience, from a desktop or pc is another downside to it. Overall the camera, image, and free one day recording are all decent but the interface needs to improve significantly.

I bought this for my room to keep an eye on it while away. One of the main reasons this camera appealed to me was the ability to remotely move the camera. This worked great for side to side motion but when I moved it down, it wouldn’t move the whole way back up. The only way to get it back up was to manually move it up when I got home.
Also, the camera would record not only movement, but changes in light. I got soo many recordings of nothing and I suspect it was because of the light coming through my window.
What I did like about this camera was the picture. It does take really good pictures if it’s daylight. The nighttime were a bit grainy but you could see clearly enough to see who or what was there. Also the ease of checking the camera remotely was easy too. That was a great feature when on vacation.
Overall I wouldn’t buy this again for the issue of the camera not being able to move up to it’s original position By remote. I’m not sure if I got a camera with bad mechanics but that paired with the numerous false recordings I wouldn’t recommend this.

By far the best camera in its class. Got one to help watch my elderly mother. Since she’s already had one stroke, I get nervous if she doesn’t answer the phone. We liked it so much I got three more for her house. She can hear me through the audio if she needs help with something.

Liked those so much I got four for my own house- kitchen, livingroom, dining room, and patio. I have three teens, and, well, you know teens need lots of eyes on them. And it’s fun telling the dogs to get off the couch from the camera- kinda freaks them out a little.

The phone app works great, the cameras are reliable, and their email tech support is instant and thorough. Can’t say enough about how great these cameras are. I look at other, similar camera reviews, and these have none of those problems.

Nothing else comes with free 24 hour storage.

I have tried several less expensive models (not Kodak brand) of security systems. The set up was super simple, which I appreciate because it can really be a daunting task – and has been with other brands. If you should need to RESET your camera, for whatever reason (I live in a rural area & the electricity sometimes goes off and on) you simply HOLD the on/off button on the back of the camera for 5 seconds. If you want to reset it back to factory settings, you hold the button for 15 seconds. The pictures are very clear; both in color and in black/white. It will adjust itself to sunlight or darkness. You can make it pan across the space up/down or left/right. You can also take pictures or video record. The speaker does work; I tried it out!! I have sent back other brands due to them not being easy to set up or having connection issues, etc. I would recommend this Kodak brand to everyone. The $100 price point that I paid is fair and worth what I’m getting. The cheaper models are that, cheap! Steer clear of them and just buy this one. You can thank me later.

Works well and very easy to set up. The only issue is it doesn’t tilt down low enough. If you place it on a shelf, you can’t look down. This is typical with most cameras like this due to the broad base. If you rest it on an angle, then the panning changes the orientation of the picture.

The only thing I don’t like about these is they way they are configured. Though easy to set up with their app, I cannot connect it to a third party app. I was not able to access these By IP address, like I could my Foscams.

It’s alright. Good quality to price ratio. Has some flaws. The camera will randomly start turning and tilting for no reason. You have to manually go in and stop it. And the night vision “auto” doesn’t work. It stays on night vision all the time unless it is hit with very bright light. The sun is the only thing so far that will kick off the night vision.

The app and camera are good. The notifications get really annoying though. I quit using them. The camera is extremely sensitive (even on the lowest setting) and I will get notifications every 30 seconds of movement. Most of it is the sunlight intensity changes through the window.

It has room for improvement but works great for a cost effective security device.

I’m no techno-geek, and for IT experts, this may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but for me, it’s perfect! I even ordered a second one, so I have one in my living room and one in kitchen recording the NEW doggy door 🙂 For $100 each, I don’t think you can beat it. I just wanted to look in on the dogs and see what they were doing while I was gone, and this is perfect for that. The highlight reels are an added bonus and I save the funny ones and send them to friends. Lastly, believe me, if I can set up these cameras with NO AGGRAVATION in less than 10 minutes, then ANYONE can do it! So easy to set up a first grader would sail thru the process. Thanks, Kodak – this is my greatest investment, to date!
